Spencer Pratt insists that the people are at the heart of what he is doing politically.
The MTV alum is denouncing any political affiliation associated with his ongoing run for the Los Angeles Mayor’s office, reiterating that he is content to be identified as a community advocate driven by a passion for change.
Spencer Pratt has constantly stirred online political conversations in recent times, from using social media to criticize city leadership to weighing in on issues surrounding Los Angeles.
Spencer Pratt: ‘I Hate Politicians‘

The reality star showed up on X to express his frustration about people constantly trying to project a political affiliation on him, as he continues to solidify his place in the race for the mayor of Los Angeles.
The reality star stated in the tweet that there is no “R” or “D” in front of his name because he does not belong to any political party, nor does he bear any likeness to politicians, with strong words that read, “I’m not part of a political party, because I hate politicians.”
“I’m just Spencer, husband to Heidi, father to Ryker and Gunner, and I’m a pissed off Angeleno who loves my city and is fed up with what corrupt politicians have done to her,” his post on X continued.
Pratt has claimed he is running an anti-establishment, outsider campaign focused on ensuring public safety and accurate audits of city departments.
While he is a registered Republican, he frequently downplays the label, given that Los Angeles is officially non-partisan.
The Media Personality’s Anti-Politician Stance Sparked Online Debate

Pratt’s post instantly sparked reactions from supporters and critics alike, who debated whether his new anti-establishment message felt genuine or just strategic.
“Every morning with my coffee, I check in on your race and love your videos. LA is not my city, California is not my state, but I am a citizen of the United States of America. And those are MY PEOPLE. Thank you, Spencer. Good Luck,” this user noted.
Several supporters also applauded his “just a pissed off Angeleno” remark, saying it reflected the feelings of everyday residents concerned about crime, homelessness, and the rising cost of living in the city.
However, Pratt got knocked for possibly trying to appeal to both sides of the political divide without offering concrete solutions to the city’s problems.
“I don’t want you to be part of a tribe. I want you to prove that major cities can be fixed. That homeless camps are a choice. That distributing drug paraphernalia is not ‘harm reduction.’ That Californias across the state deserve better,” this supporter declared.
Spencer Pratt Revealed Why He Believed In The Republican Ideology

As reported by The Blast, Pratt appeared on “The Story Is With Elex Michaelson,” where he explained how his personal experience influenced his political alignment.
When asked why he chose to identify as a Republican, Pratt stated that his decisions were tied to concerns about personal safety.
He recalled receiving numerous death threats at the peak of his reality TV fame, which unsettled his wife, who advised him to consider getting firearms, as they were living in a very volatile Los Angeles environment.
The 42-year-old stressed that obtaining weapons for protection eventually led to another issue: securing concealed carry permits.
Pratt also shared that in his view, Republican lawmakers were the primary supporters of concealed carry rights, which ultimately drew him toward the party.
The reality star acknowledged that gun ownership remains a deeply divisive topic, but he felt obligated to prioritize the safety of his family.
He confirmed that his firearm training had been completed and ticked all the boxes for the legal requirements involved in responsible weapon ownership.
The mayoral hopeful stated in the interview that he desires stricter security parameters around schools and believes police presence near campuses could help reduce gun-related threats against children.
The ‘The Hills’ Alum Earned A Shoutout From Erika Kirk Ahead Of The Polls

Pratt’s support among conservative voters continues to grow as Charlie Kirk’s widow adds her voice to the list of supporters praising him for his approach to local politics.
The Blast stated that on May 21, Erika applauded Pratt’s unconventional approach to building momentum among Republican and Independent voters ahead of the election.
She affirmed that whether he wins or loses, his disposition towards American politics represents the core values of American society.
Erika highlighted what she believes separates Pratt from traditional politicians, noting that he does not come across as rehearsed or overly polished.
She commended the TV star for speaking in a way that resonates with everyday people frustrated by the current state of leadership in Los Angeles.
She also urged more citizens to take a leaf out of Pratt’s book and get involved in the political process rather than leaving public office solely to career politicians.
Closing out her remarks, the 37-year-old expressed hope that moments like Pratt’s campaign would motivate more Americans to aspire for positions, engage in civic issues, and defend the values they believe make America a place of dreams.
Spencer Pratt Revealed Future Plans For Los Angeles If Things Go South

The politician, who lost his $3.8 million home in the destructive Los Angeles wildfires that ravaged the city last year, noted that if he fails to clinch the seat of Mayor, he might bid the city a painful farewell.
The star revealed this during a recent appearance on “The Adam Carolla Show,” where he spoke candidly about his growing frustration with the city’s direction and why he no longer feels optimistic about rebuilding his future there.
Pratt added that his planned move is borne out of wanting his kids to grow up in a safer environment and for him to exist in a place where he still feels the “American Dream” is attainable.
The former reality star also made it clear that he has little interest in building a life in the city under the leadership he believes has failed residents.
