“Basketball Wives” star, and Lamar Odom’s ex, Liza Morales, went after the former Laker player a couple of months back for a ton of missing child support payments. At the time, Odom defended himself in the court of public opinion with an IG post. In which he claimed that his kids were essentially adults, and therefore he didn’t have to pay for child support anymore. That’s all great, but apparently, no one told Odom that posting things on social media doesn’t count as showing up in court!
Getting Mocked By The Judge

It’s been about a month since Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper mocked Odom for being in a celebrity boxing match and not showing up to court. At the end of June, the judge mentioned on Odom’s boxing match with Aaron Carter,
“If Mr. Odom is in good enough shape to participate in a boxing match, he’s certainly in good enough shape to abide by his obligations to support his children as set forth in the settlement agreement,”
When he said this, Odom had not shown up to the hearing. It seems that not much has changed.
Open and Shut Case

After essentially giving Odom the legally required time for him to respond to the claims made against him in court this Thursday, the judge signed a decree ordering him to pay up! Liza Morales was granted $380,549. This is money that Odom must pay to cover college costs, rent, and other living expenses for Morales and their kids. The amount was agreed upon by the former couple back in 2015. Odom hasn’t been keeping his end of the bargain. Also, he didn’t show up in court to defend himself. There’s been no word from Odom as to what he plans to do at this point.
He Could Be Looking At More Payments

The judge also ruled that Odom has to fund a $1 million life insurance policy. Then proceed to name ex Liza Morales as the beneficiary. If Odom does not comply, then Morales would be legally entitled to essentially head back to court and sue Odom for even more money. Plus, getting him to cover the legal expenses that she would have for suing him. This strategy of pretending none of this exists so that it can go away doesn’t seem to be working too well for Odom.
I had a very therapeutic interview with @RealLamarOdom on The Megan Pormer Show @FOXLA . He opened up his heart about overcoming emotional trauma and mental health issues and how he is going to create a platform to help everyone heal from pain and trauma. What’s Odom Been Up To?

Why is Lamar Odom not showing up in court? What’s he been up to that his him so busy? Well, he’s had a social media beef with Tristan Thompson over ex Khloé Kardashian. He’s taking part in some charity basketball games. Also, motivational speaking is one of his endeavors. There is no doubt that he’s been on the move. That’s not going to save him from his unfinished business with Liza Morales. This is probably not the last time we hear about their court battle!
