Rebel Wilson is feeling and looking better than ever before.

The Australian actress has always brought the laughs to any and every movie she’s been in. During her early years of breaking into the ‘biz’ she often played the overweight, lazy friend who always had a punch line.

However, things for the actress took a turn in 2020, a year where all of us were stuck at home and most likely indulging a bit too much on food and drinks.

For Rebel though, 2020 was a "Year of Health."

The 41-year-old actress got candid about her weight loss in a recent Instagram Q&A with fans, and dished on her decision to shed 65 pounds.

When asked by a fan why she decided to lose weight Rebel responded, “That is such a massive question, but I am going to try and answer it for you.

The Aussie native said the change in her lifestyle came after a meeting with a fertility doctor.

“It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff and the doctor was like, ‘Well, you’d have a much better chance if you were healthier,’” she revealed.

Rebel admitted the doctor’s comments “offended” her a “bit,” because she “felt pretty healthy.”

“That’s kind of what started it, that if I lost some excess weight that it would give me a better chance for freezing eggs and having the eggs be a better quality. It wasn’t even really myself, it was more thinking of a future mini-me, really.”

She continued her Q&A saying, “Everybody’s journey is different, and it’s not a race or competition. I’ve always been a bit of a late developer. I started acting when I was turning 19, which is quite late. And when I came to America as an actress, I was almost 30, which again, is quite late. So, I try not to compare myself to other people.”

Back in May, Rebel opened up to her fans with some devastating news regarding her fertility.

She posted a solemn looking photo to her grid with the caption, “I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with...but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense...but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.”

In addition to her fertility struggles, Rebel also went through a pretty big breakup at the beginning of the year.

In February, headlines were buzzing that she and Jacob Busch, heir to Anheuser-Busch brewing company, had broken up after months of dating.

The went Instagram official with their love story and traveled the world together. However, in December it seemed that was the last the world would see of them together as a couple.

Rebel confirmed she was single in an Instagram post right around the Super Bowl.
