'OITNB' Star Ruby Rose Hospitalized After 'Serious' Surgery Complications

Ruby Rose has been hospitalized after suffering 'serious' complications from a recent minor surgery.
The 'Orange Is The New Black' star was rushed to the hospital this week via ambulance after suffering from serious side effects from minor surgery. The actress took to Instagram to post a heartbreaking video describing the incident where she was forced to call for help on her own.
"I did have a procedure, and I had to have a surgery, but it was fine, and the surgery went well,” Rose described. She continued, “But then yesterday, I had a few complications, and I had to go to the emergency room.”

In the video, Ruby explains she was forced to call 911 to get herself to a local hospital after suffering complications. The problem is, the vehicle ended up driving around for hours because they couldn't find a hospital willing to admit her. At this point, the actress isn't specific about the exact ailment, but it was serious enough to be rushed to a hospital.
“They’d been rejecting people all night,” she explained. Adding, “And my case was quite serious -- we stuck it out for a little bit longer, and we were lucky enough to get accepted by a hospital after a bit of a standoff.”
In the end, Ruby received the treatment she needed, and is now resting comfortably at home. The star thanked health care workers for their "amazing work" and urged her fans to get vaccinated against COVID-19. “Try to keep yourself safe. Try to keep everyone safe. Get vaccinated if you can, please, it doesn’t need to be this hard for everyone and I just can’t imagine all the other people that are having way way more serious situations happening right now," she said.
Ruby Rose Has Trouble Getting Into A Hospital
Plus, the actress says she will be taking a break from social media while she heals from the ordeal. "I love you all, and take care of yourself," she concluded.
As you know, emergency rooms are being overrun with recent cases of Coronavirus after another spike in cases in the U.S. In many cases, having to turn away minor issues to work on the more serious cases. "It's just… it doesn't need to be this hard for everyone and I just can't imagine all the other people that are having way more, way, way more serious situations happening right now," Ruby said.
Ruby's fans flooded her Instagram with messages of support, including, "We love you ❤️ Take all the time you need. If you ever need a friend, I’m here." Another added, "Breaks are important for mental health… so good decision, girl. Keep your head up."
