“We will continue to remain friends & be devoted parents to our son whom we both love very much,” she wrote about Jackson whose birth was featured on an earlier season of the popular USA network show. While the mom of one has made sure to make time for her own dream and development in life, she always made her marriage a priority. Fans watched Chrisley regularly disagreed with her father Todd Chrisley and stepmom Julie Chrisley over her then-boyfriend and her decision to follow his lead after they were married. The 30-year-old shared that she often felt divided between her own family and her father and stepmother.

What Was the Beef?

Unfortunately, Chrisley’s parents had a reason to be a bit divided from their daughter and her husband. They found Campbell to be sneaky after the couple eloped in 2012 after three years of dating. Most of this drama was covered in season one of the show with the patriarch Chrisley expressing his unhappiness for how his daughter and her boyfriend chose "run-off" to get married. Todd also expressed hurt over the fact that on top of eloping, he didn’t even know his daughter was engaged because Campbell hadn’t asked for her hand before he popped the question. Fans of the show know that Todd is pretty traditional in that aspect. It’s basically the one thing you shouldn’t do to him. They ultimately got over it but the relationship was still not the best.

The stress of her family and husband being divided might have played a role in the marriage breaking down, however, that is only speculation from fans. Going forward, Chrisley has shared that she is focusing on staying strong and making her new house a home. “Personally, I am focusing on the new beginnings ahead & a fresh space with the move this week,” yes, that empty living room is in the single mom’s new home! She’s taking this fresh start thing to a huge level.
