Spencer Pratt is not a soothsayer, but he is putting all his bets on L.A. convincing Lauren Conrad!
The reality television personality is intensifying his campaign for the seat of the Mayor of Los Angeles and has predicted one vote from his long-time nemesis from their MTV reality show “The Hills.”
Spencer Pratt announced his intention to occupy the office in January 2026, one year after the Palisades Pacific fire destroyed his Los Angeles home.
Spencer Pratt Claims Lauren Conrad’s Vote Is A Matter Of Geography

Pratt finally responded to Conrad’s reaction to whether she would vote for him in his run for mayor on April 8 via X. According to him, “Pretty sure LC would vote for me if she lived in L.A. and her kids had to walk over fentanyl zombies and human poop on their way to school. I’m just saying.”
When Conrad was asked if her vote was for the reality star on “Today,” the MTV alum responded that it would be impossible for her to make that decision because she is not a resident of Los Angeles. The media personality stated to hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones that she was being asked about people she has not spoken to in decades.
TMZ noted that Conrad’s former co-star on “The Hills,” Kristin Cavallari, did not feel the same way, as she reiterated that she has a soft spot for Pratt and is a great guy.
The MTV Alum Revisited His Feud With His Former Co-star Last Year

E! Online reported that the politician shared his side of the story last year, including what really went down between him and Conrad. He clarified that despite overwhelming speculations that a sex tape rumor was the reason for him becoming the villain on “The Hills,” there was actually another primary reason.
He explained that Brody Jenner was actually the force behind the drama because the moment he realized he could not “fake date” Conrad anymore, all hell was let loose. Pratt noted that as soon as the fake relationship between Jenner and Conrad was done, she wanted her friendship with Heidi Montag (now Pratt’s wife) back. Pratt recalled Conrad dragging Montag out on Valentine’s Day, when they became official, and not letting her leave until early in the morning.
In his words, “They’re f-cking having breakfast pizza together and [Heidi’s] like, ‘I gotta go back and see Spencer.’ And [Lauren] turned it into this big thing.” He added that things degenerated between the three of them (himself, Conrad, and Montag), and they ultimately decided to embrace their reputation on the show, after all, it was paying well.
Inside Spencer Pratt’s Surprise Pivot Into Full-Blown Politics

The Blast noted that the media personality revealed his plans to fill the mayor’s seat in January to the audience at the “They Let Us Burn” podcast, describing the city’s system as failing to protect its citizens.
He criticized nepotism at the top of the food chain, where the high and mighty exchange favors, leaving the rest of the population to drown in the rubble. Pratt added that business as usual is not getting anything done in Los Angeles, and he is deciding to take real action once and for all.
The reality TV alum stressed that the destructive fire in Palisades did not happen by accident or error; instead, he blamed it on the authorities, who had been careless and had been evading accountability in such a devastating situation. Pratt will head on to the polls alongside Austin Beutner, Rae Chen Huang, and incumbent mayor Karen Bass on November 3, 2026, and the politician is going forth blasting with a full tank of confidence.
Eliminating Homelessness Is Top On The List For The Aspiring Mayor

Pratt gave more details on his plan for the office during a campaign event in February, where he highlighted homelessness as a pestering menace in Los Angeles, to his discomfort. He shared that while the city has spent billions of dollars in combating the problem, progress has been frustratingly slow.
Pratt promised his audience that, as mayor, he would enlist the services of IRS auditors and investigators to examine all scammers who have been profiting off the state’s misery by stealing taxpayers’ money, thereby contributing to homelessness.
The Palisades fires affected over 37,000 people last January, including Pratt, who lost his house and his parents’ residence in the process, along with several sentimental pieces that were dear to him throughout his life. He added that his mother could not get her passport out of the home, and the idea of his parents’ home burning down next to the ocean was too surreal for him to believe.
Spencer Pratt Predicted Jail For His Biggest Contender In The Poll

Pratt and Bass, the incumbent mayor, are probably the most popular candidates among voters, as sources from her campaign confirmed that Pratt is making serious headway in the polls.
The former MTV star has made some statements on that topic, declaring his confidence in a landslide victory against Bass, adding that she could even bag a jail term for her role during the California fires. Pratt claimed that Bass’ incarceration could have happened due to obstruction of justice for altering after-action reports of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Bass reportedly wanted key findings about the LAFD’s actions during the fire omitted or presented in a way that would not fuel as many reactions when it eventually goes public. The incumbent mayor has vehemently denied that any changes were made to the draft, but Pratt is holding on to these reports as the catalyst for his victory.
