Kate Hudson is forever a fan of putting in the work when it comes to relationships.
The actress broke her silence on the modern relationship culture and how people often find it easy to walk away, rather than fight for the love they once believed in.
Kate Hudson is currently engaged to Danny Fujikawa, and has been since 2021, both confirming they are not in any rush to get married.
Kate Hudson Likened Her 'Song Sung Blue' Movie To Real Life Scenarios In Relationships

The American actress explained to Kevin McCarthy on the "On Film With Kevin McCarthy" podcast that the modern relationship culture has not been the safest for love.
According to her, the wonderful situation between her character Claire Sardina, a hairdresser and singer, and struggling musician and recovering alcoholic Mike Sardina (Hugh Jackman) is a beautiful representation of endurance in love.
She noted that while it is commendable that people will not stay in unfavorable and unhealthy situations, it is still sad that people treat culture these days as very disposable.
Hudson added that people also find it hard to admit that relationships and life are hard, and resilience and grit are the fuel to overcome all the challenges of life.
The actress explained further on the podcast that on the other side of those difficult moments is something really "powerful, strong and beautiful" which gives everyone a sense of safety and love.
The TV Star Described Her Oscar-Nominated Movie As A Reminder Of Overcoming Hardship

Hudson continued that self-help books and podcasts, which are slowly gaining popularity, have also become an indicator of how much people struggle with the concept of living a healthy and beautiful life.
She described an emotional scene between Mike and Claire in which the couple chose to reaffirm each other rather than let a tragedy tear them apart at the time. In her words:
"Like that scene, when you see it, you're like, 'Oh, when you earn that comfort because you stand by somebody, or you get through the hard stuff, or you are so in it with that person that, like, you don't know if you're going to get at it, but you'll never ever let… you'll never give up on that person."
She added that her movie also helps buttress the point that people can face hardship with a united front and not take tough times as the end of the world.
Hudson admitted that such movies can be really inspirational, and as a testament to her statement, the actress was nominated for an Oscar in the best actress category following her role in the biographical musical drama.
It became her second Oscar nomination after she earned one for her brilliant role in the 2000 comedy-drama "Almost Famous."
Kate Hudson And Her Journey With Love

The actress got involved in her first high-profile Hollywood romance with the lead singer of The Black Crowes, Chris Robinson, in the early 2000s. PEOPLE reported that they moved in a few days after meeting and tied the knot less than a year after dating on New Year's Eve 2000 in the home of Hudson's mother.
They subsequently welcomed a child together in 2004, and two years later, the couple announced their separation, finalizing the divorce in October 2007. Hudson and Robinson have, however, remained cordial friends, and she admitted in 2024 that it was not an easy divorce, but it was necessary.
She then got involved in an on-and-off romance with Owen Wilson and Dax Shepard between 2006 and 2009 before moving on with Lance Armstrong in 2008, but breaking up after three months of dating.
Hudson met Matthew Bellamy in April 2010 at Coachella, and one year later, she welcomed their son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, a few months after she said yes to the April 2011 proposal.
They remained engaged for three years before calling things off in 2014, and the actress blamed it on simply wanting different things.
She was also linked with Nick Jonas before finally settling with Fujikawa in 2017 and subsequently welcomed a daughter in October 2018. They got engaged in 2021, showing off her engagement ring at that year's Met Gala event.
The Singer/Songwriter's Oscar Nomination Sparked Outrage Among The Sardina Family

Hudson tagged alongside Jackman to bring the vision to life on "Song Sung Blue," earning commendations and applause across the length and breadth of Hollywood.
However, The Blast noted that Mike Sardina Jr., the son of the late Mike Sardina Sr., was not impressed by the movie because he believed it erased him from his father's legacy.
Mike Jr. expressed in his interview that he felt her performance was weak and did not get the hype around the project. He continued that the story was weak and the storyline was unpleasant to the ears and eyes.
He added that the character had no depth, and the performance did not deserve any nomination because she did not for a second believe she was a true performer.
Mike Jr. also slammed Jackman and Jim Belushi, saying their performance was so off base and they failed to correctly play the man who cared for God and others more than anything.
"Shame on anyone who is a part of this film and continues to deny my sister and I my father's legacy, which he worked his whole life to achieve and pass on to his son," Mike Jr. emphasized.
Kate Hudson Hailed Her Parents For Never Handing Things To Her

The 46-year-old clarified that despite her connection to the famous Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, she was raised to value hard work over entitlement.
As noted by The Blast, Hudson and her brother, Oliver Hudson, were raised by Hawn and her partner, Kurt Russell, who the actress claimed was a father-figure in her life.
She recalled her parents being firm about how nothing would be given to them on a platter of gold, despite growing up to see how other famous parents handed everything to their children.
Hudson continued that she knew from a very young age that none of her parents' wealth belonged to them, and she had to make a decent living for herself by herself.
She revealed that she eventually took her parents' teachings to heart, and she would never rely on them or their names to open doors for her. Hudson credited her parents for instilling a strong ethic, which also shaped her career, and she was beyond glad her last name was not Hawn or Russell.
