Rihanna's Home Shooting Case Deepens With Unearthed Social Media Spiral

The woman arrested for firing multiple shots at Rihanna's home reportedly has a history of fixating on high-profile entertainers.

The drama began on Sunday, March 8, when authorities arrested a woman identified as Ivana Lisette Ortiz. She was taken into custody for firing at least 10 shots at Rihanna's Beverly Hills-area home.

The incident garnered attention, with new reports revealing the suspected gunwoman went down a social media spiral weeks before her arrest. Rihanna previously faced two home invasions in 2018.

Ortiz's social media history has been uncovered, revealing that she had repeatedly tried to catch Rihanna's attention to no avail. Weeks before the shooting, Ortiz had called the singer out on Facebook in a February 23 post, accusing her of having AIDS.

"@badgalriri — Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you're talking to me where I'm not at," Ortiz wrote, as shared by the New York Post.

Ortiz echoed similar sentiments in a February 17 post, claiming Drake was aware Rihanna allegedly had AIDS. The suspected gunwoman's social media rants frequently targeted Rihanna, with a January 19 video tied to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, claiming she was "with @badgalriri."

Rihanna wasn't the only celebrity Ortiz dragged in her social media posts, as one of her most recent videos saw her calling out Cardi B. "You can't f-ck with me, Cardi B. You are supposedly busy right now. You ain't messing with me," Ortiz said in the clip.

In a December 20 post, Ortiz declared that she was "through with Rihanna" while slamming Kim Kardashian as a "stupid b-tch." Outside social media, the outlet reported that Ortiz picked fights with high-profile entertainers through the law.

Last year, Ortiz submitted a verified emergency petition against Live Nation Worldwide, Rihanna's promoter, and the city of Orlando. She filed the petition to stop Billie Eilish's performance at the Kia Center, claiming the event organizers had failed to obtain a proper special-event permit and a required noise waiver.

According to NBC New York, the LAPD confirmed to NBC Los Angeles that Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their children were home at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported, but at least four rounds struck the house when Ortiz fired multiple shots from her car.

The outlet reported that the front gate of Rihanna's property appeared to be riddled with bullet holes, and investigators were seen examining an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway. A neighbor from the community noted that she "was a little shocked" by the incident.

The gunwoman remains in police custody with her bail set at $10,225,000. She was identified as a 35-year-old woman from Florida who was caught with an AR-15-style weapon. Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson, confirmed that authorities found the "assault rifle and seven casings" inside her vehicle.

ABC7 reported that the man spent about 12 hours inside the home until he was discovered the following day by Rihanna's assistant. The second home invasion occurred in September 2018 when three suspects made waves for breaking into the Hollywood Hills property.

The outlet noted that authorities had responded to the burglary call around 9:30 p.m. after the suspects triggered the home's alarms and surveillance systems. The three home invaders were also captured on video breaking into Rihanna's home, but a description of their getaway vehicle was not immediately available.
