The main suspect in Rihanna's home shooting case has been identified!
The singer-turned-businesswoman faced a terrifying situation on Sunday, March 8, when a woman fired multiple shots at her Beverly Hills home.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, but it marked another scary encounter for the renowned entertainer. Rihanna's Hollywood Hills home was invaded by an obsessed fan in 2018.
Main Suspect In Rihanna's Home Shooting Case Identified As A 35-Year-Old WomanÂ

According to new reports, the main suspect responsible for firing multiple shots at Rihanna's home has been identified as a 35-year-old woman. The suspect, per law enforcement sources, is named Ivana Lisette Ortiz.
TMZ reported that Ortiz has since been booked on an attempted murder charge and remains in police custody with her bail set at $10,225,000. The Los Angeles Times shed more light on the case, reporting that Ortiz hailed from Florida and had been armed with an AR-15-style weapon.
A law enforcement source told the outlet that Ortiz had fired several shots into Rihanna's Beverly Hills-area home, and a round had penetrated a wall of the mansion.
Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson, confirmed that authorities had found bullet holes in a gate at Rihanna's home and in an RV parked in the driveway.
More About The Shocking Shooting Incident

Arias, the LAPD spokesperson, added that when police caught the suspect, they had found "an assault rifle and seven casings" after searching her vehicle. Ortiz was reportedly taken into police custody about 30 minutes after the 911 call came in, per the radio correspondence reviewed by the outlet.
Police Sgt. Jonathan de Vera, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, revealed that the suspect had fired multiple shots from inside her vehicle at Rihanna's house.
The "Rude Boy" hitmaker was at home at the time of the incident, but it remains unclear if her partner, ASAP Rocky, or their children were on the premises.
Investigations into the shooting remain ongoing, as authorities have yet to release a motive for the attack. A source noted that the Los Angeles police responded to the report of the shooting at 1:21 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood.
The Suspect Was Caught Thanks To The Dirty Tesla

The Blast provided more details about Ortiz's arrest, reporting that she was swiftly located thanks to a clear description of her identity and vehicle. Over the radio, officers were informed that the suspect's hair was braided and that she wore a cream-colored blouse.
Additionally, her white Tesla vehicle was described as dirty at the bottom. Thanks to the clear description, officers in a helicopter soon caught sight of Ortiz as she tried to escape and caught her at a parking lot in Sherman Oaks.
Radio dispatch confirmed that Ortiz had fired at least ten times at Rihanna's home before fleeing the scene. The Popstar reportedly purchased the 21,958-square-foot property in 2021, and it features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, and an open-air courtyard.
The Fenty Founder's Hollywood Hills Home Was Invaded In 2018

The shooting incident comes nearly eight years after an obsessed fan invaded Rihanna's Hollywood Hills home. The BBC covered the story in May 2018, reporting that a man identified as Eduardo Leon had been arrested for multiple crimes.
Leon's transgressions included stalking, first-degree residential burglary, vandalism, and resisting arrest. He was accused of hopping a fence and entering the singer's home, where he allegedly spent 12 hours before Rihanna's assistant discovered him.
The assistant noticed Leon's presence the following day, immediately calling cops, who slapped cuffs on Leon and took him into their custody. Rihanna was not home at the time of the incident, but Leon faced a maximum sentence of six years if convicted.
Rihanna Reignited Fans' Desperate Pleas For Another Album

The shooting incident came days after Rihanna successfully reignited fans' desire for another album. The Blast covered the story, reporting that she sent her loyal fanbase into a frenzy with an Instagram post on February 26.
The video captured her busy schedule, showing her working in a studio well after 2 a.m. "I still have to go to the studio after this, and I have to make a Mardi Gras costume for my son after the studio," Rihanna said in the clip.
The post garnered hundreds of comments from excited fans, who hoped the video was a teaser for another album. Rihanna has been keeping fans waiting for years, previously teasing in 2018 that her next album would be reggae, only to shut down fans' expectations for a reggae album in 2020.
