The Los Angeles police department has taken the woman suspected of shooting at Rihanna's mansion in Beverly Hills into custody. Ortiz, who opened fire at the singer's home on Sunday afternoon from her vehicle, was tailed by authorities, and finding her was a breeze because her Tesla was so dirty.

It was revealed that an officer nabbed her after she fled the scene in a white Tesla with signature dirt on the bottom, and her identity was subsequently revealed by TMZ. Other details which were helpful to the police in their hunt for the shooter were her outfit and hair.

Over the radio, the police were informed that she had braids in her hair and was seen wearing a cream blouse. Following these leads, the police helicopter sighted the dirty Tesla while combing the area in a parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where she was then arrested.

Radio dispatched for the incident relayed that the 35-year-old had fired her assault rifle at Rihanna's mansion at least ten times before she fled the scene.

Investigation by the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division is currently ongoing to determine the possible motive behind the attack. The officials will release more information as the investigation proceeds.

Rihanna's L.A. villa sits just across the street from Sir Paul McCartney in a secluded lot affording a high level of privacy. The singer purchased the Beverly Hills mansion in 2021, which has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, and an open-air courtyard.

The Daily Mail shares that the 21,958-square-foot lot property was originally built in the 1930s and is left completely private from the street thanks to its tall hedges.

The quiet street is also home to other industry moguls, including the "All I Want For Christmas" singer Mariah Carey, who leases a property a few doors away, and Madonna.

Rihanna has experienced security breaches in previous years, but fortunately, none have led to fatal incidents to her or her family. In 2018, her home's security was compromised twice, first in May by a man who gained access to the premises by hopping over her fence.

Later identified as Eduardo Leon spent twelve hours inside the house and was discovered the next day by her assistant. Leon was charged with stalking, first-degree residential burglary, vandalism, and resisting arrest.

The Blast reported that in September of the same year, three men broke into the singer's house, and the authorities were alerted. The men broke a glass door at the back of the house, and after further investigations, four people were arrested in connection with the incident.

Fortunately, at the time of both break-ins, Rihanna was not home and therefore suffered no bodily harm. Before these home attacks, the "Diamonds" singer was targeted by a man who was seen sending threatening letters to her apartment in Manhattan as well as her California home.

The stalker, Kevin McGlynn, was arrested after he dropped his name and address on a card while lurking around the popstar's building in 2014.
