According to the New York Post, Ogunbowale was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a security guard at E11EVEN Miami at around 4:20 a.m. on March 5. Police reports claim the Dallas Wings star punched the venue's employee with a closed fist during the incident.

ESPN shared that video footage from the nightclub confirms the employee's account. Ogunbowale, 29, was arrested and later released on a $1,000 bond. She was charged with misdemeanor battery.

Unrivaled released a statement following Ogunbowale's arrest. "The league is aware of an incident involving Arike Ogunbowale and we are in the process of gathering additional information," they said. "We're in contact with Arike and her representatives."

Another NBA Star Was Arrested In March 2026

According to a previous report from The Blast, NBA star Dillon Brooks was also arrested in March 2026.

Officials shared that the Phoenix Suns player was pulled over around 1 a.m. in Scottsdale, Arizona, for allegedly violating traffic laws.

Authorities later revealed that Brooks was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

Brooks was released from the Scottsdale City Jail around 3:30 a.m., and according to officials on the scene, the NBA player followed commands and remained well-mannered throughout the process.

His arrest for alleged DUI comes just weeks after former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom was placed behind bars in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the same thing.

Odom was charged with two violations, according to a police report, one for traveling over 41 MPH and the other for failing to maintain his lane.

Body Camera Footage Shows Brooks Completing Field Sobriety Tests

Body camera footage of the Brooks' arrest has been shared online, and it shows the University of Oregon alum completing field sobriety tests.

At one point in the video, an officer explains how Brooks should complete the standing-on-one-leg test. Later, Brooks attempts the test but seemingly fails to follow the officer's instructions.

Shortly after, the video showed Brooks being arrested and handcuffed in front of his body while the officer explained what would occur next.

In the footage, Brooks asks the officer what he blew on the portable breathalyzer test, to which the officer said "zero."

"How can you get arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after blowing a 0," someone on X wrote.

"Cooperated fully, blew a big fat zero on sobriety test, his car smells like weed, but did they find any?" another wrote. "Need to see more footage."
