Lisa Rinna's choice of words against Donald Trump came with some personal loss.
The reality TV star revealed that the stance she took on the President's conduct during his first term in office ultimately played a role in her losing one of her contracts.
Lisa Rinna has a lengthy history with Donald Trump from his days in the show business, when she appeared on "Celebrity Apprentice" in 2011, where she was fired in the second week.

The media personality's new memoir came with loads of disclosures about her journey through life, career, and everything else. She spotlighted an instance where her anti-Trump comments contributed to her being dropped by QVC.
Rinna launched her clothing line, The Lisa Rinna Collection, with QVC in 2012, and it rose to the top spot on the shopping network.
Rinna noted in the "You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It" memoir that her exit from the network has been politically motivated, especially since QVC was sold to the Qurate Retail Group owned by billionaire media mogul and former Trump donor John C. Malone.
Rinna explained that she had to speak up against the ugliness and vileness that existed during his first regime since she knew and had worked with Trump on "The Celebrity Apprentice" for two seasons. She also added how her popularity on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" made the whole situation worse.
"I think between my Trump-bashing and 'RHOBH' fans flooding the channel with complaints about me, it was more than QVC could handle. It didn't make sense – we were still making gobs of money," the star explained, according to The Daily Mail.
The Bravo Alum Slammed The QVC Network For Making Her Work With Substandard ManufacturersÂ

This would not be the first time Rinna has called out QVC for the way her affair was handled at the point of parting ways with her. She noted that she also had to deal with receiving several death threats from online trolls on Instagram, alongside losing loads of social media followers.
She stated that towards the end of her collaboration with QVC, the channel mandated her to work with a new manufacturer who made fabrics that did not impress her or fit into her standards.
She described the designs as inferior, adding that the sewing technique was inferior, and the whole matter became less about Trump and more about other things.
In 2020, on the edge of closing the chapter with the network, Rinna took to Instagram to reveal to the public that they were deliberately sabotaging her. In her words:
"I am sad to report it would now seem I can't use my platform to inform or question or say how I feel politically because the Karens have bombarded QVC, begging them to fire me and saying they will no longer buy my clothes."
She concluded that it was beyond shameful to be muzzled all because she chose to support her family against the harsh policies of the politician.
Lisa Rinna Recalled Intriguing Memories Of Her Time With Donald Trump On Television

As shared by Reality Tea, the Bravo alum reflected on the night she got fired on the show and how she called her husband, sobbing on the phone after getting the Trump signature, "You're Fired."
However, two years later, she returned for the All-Star Series and finished in fourth place. In the memoir, she revealed how everyone usually asks her to spill the tea on Trump, but she does not have any information on the "Circus Peanut in Chief."
Rinna affirmed that based on her experience with Trump at the time, no one knew he would become who he is today, describing him as a great entertainer who kept it professional every episode.
The Bravo alum continued that fast forward to now, all her early impressions of him, which were positive, have basically waned because he has become someone who "has ruined the world."
She concluded that there is a high chance the politician has always been that kind of person, and maybe being in the Oval Office helped him get comfortable with showing his true self.

Rinna did not let the QVC drama and the attention that surrounded it deter her from speaking her mind and making another controversial statement of pitching her tent with the "Black Lives Matter" movement.
As noted by PEOPLE in 2020, she also voiced her support for the LGBTQ+ community, stressing that she would be on the right side of history, which is what matters most in her journey as a media personality.
Rinna also backed the Supreme Court in their judgment against discriminating against LGBTQ+ people in the workplace, which equally upset some social media "Karens." The reality TV alum stressed that she was beyond ready to bear the consequences of her truth, and no social media police would get in the way of that.

The TV star is not a stranger to confrontation and conflicts on-screen and off-screen. In February 2026, she spoke about her experience with one of her biggest bullies, Robert Kelker-Kelly, who starred alongside her in the movie.
As noted by The Blast, Rinna revealed that while everything looked great on-screen, they could not stand each other behind the scenes as their personalities clashed. The actress claimed that Kelly made her life a living hell and was horrible to her, going as far as being verbally abusive, manipulative, and tricky.
She added that daily routines with him became exhausting as she had to constantly shoot love scenes with a man she could not stand. Rinna added that his behavior was equally erratic and unpredictable, with her not knowing which side of him she would get whenever the next day broke for set work.
