Ozzy Osbourne's Son Recalls Late Dad's Final Words To Him

Ozzy Osbourne's son, Jack Osbourne, remembers his final words by heart!

The rockstar's child revealed his last conversation with his father and how he passed an important message across about his time as a legendary performer coming to an end after his epic Black Sabbath final performance in Birmingham.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, in his home in Buckinghamshire, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and a culmination of other illnesses that were more recent.

The singer's son spilled details of his final conversation with the rockstar, and he was able to conclude in the moment that Ozzy's watch was done. He expressed on Jamie Kennedy's podcast that the talk came right after Ozzy's final show with Black Sabbath last July.

Jack recalled preparing Ozzy for bed, and as he was brushing his teeth, he declared that he wanted to cut off his hair, and when Jack quizzed him further, the rockstar explained that he had retired and was no longer a rockstar.

The singer's son noted that in retrospect, it felt like his dad was truly done and, most importantly, content with his legacy and musical journey. As noted by TMZ, Jack added that Ozzy was having an absolutely normal day when he died, and it was surprising, even though everyone knew he was sick.

Nearly four years ago, Jack knocked a tabloid producer for approaching him about sensitive information on his mother, Sharon Osbourne. The producer had reached out to Jack via text message, looking for answers on the state of the family matriarch's health, as reports filtered around that she had been admitted to the hospital.

As shared by The Blast, the producer noted that according to their information, Sharon fainted on the set of a paranormal-themed TV show at Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula.

Jack swiftly clapped back at the message, warning the producer to desist from ever contacting him, as he might be forced to act unruly towards him. Jack described the producer as very desperate and dared him to quote his response as another clout-chasing headline.

However, reports from a Ventura County Fire Department rep claimed that emergency medical service workers responded to a "medical call" at the hotel around evening on December 16, 2022. 

While the facility's manager reportedly confirmed an "emergency" on that night, he declined to comment on Sharon's alleged health scare.

Jack got candid about how his parents' moving to England shortly before Ozzy died left him feeling emotional and sad at the fact that there would be a significant distance between him and his parents and also their grandchildren.

As noted by The Blast, Jack was seen in the documentary filmed as a tribute to their dad getting very upset at their decision to settle back home. He stated to producers that it would be emotionally challenging for them to make family time work in a long-distance style.

Jack referenced the amazing relationship Sharon had with his older daughter, Pearl, and how moving away meant they would only see each other once or twice a year.

The late rockstar, in one of the clips in the documentary, had opened up about his health condition and struggles, which began to head downhill after he turned 70. He suffered from several health challenges, which made it hard for him to walk long distances without running out of breath.

Jack has four children across two marriages; his first three with ex-wife Lisa Stelly and his youngest child with his current wife, Aree Gearhart. Speaking about co-parenting with Stelly and raising his children, Jack expressed that it is different from how Sharon and Ozzy raised him and his siblings.

He shared that he infuses more structure in his parenting technique and is meticulous enough to identify each of his children and their unique characters. Sharon was reportedly present at Pearl's birth and described it as a refreshing experience.

Since Ozzy's death, Jack and his siblings, especially Kelly Osbourne, have been vocal about defending his legacy online and giving naysayers a piece of their mind.

Jack had dragged Roger Waters to filth for making a negative comment about the late singer, while Kelly bashed the WWE for enabling one of their athletes to disrespect the singer and his hometown.

The late rockstar clocked 77 on Wednesday, December 30, 2025, and his family trooped to social media to celebrate him. Kelly was first in line to honor the late artist by uploading several posts on Instagram set to a series of songs from the late rockstar.

Kelly reflected on how life felt without the late rockstar, stressing that he did not come to this world as an ordinary man. The former E! Television star expressed her wish to see the rockstar one last time and watch him blow out another birthday candle.

Sharon also celebrated her late husband with a montage set to songs from him, emphasizing that she will never let go of his hand until she sees him on the other hand, as other fans joined her to wish him a happy birthday.

Ozzy and Sharon got married in 1982 and welcomed three children, adding to his three kids from his first marriage.
