Kanye West Returns To Social Media After 2 Years, Honors His Kids

Kanye West has officially announced that his new album DONDA will be dropping on Friday. The rapper has also broken his social media silence after more than two years. The series of posts featured West wearing a necklace featuring the names of his children with soon to be ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The other photos featured Yeezy wearing his new favorite accessory a ski mask and gloves. And another one of him crouching down on top of two metal bins. Kanye also shared a photo of a pair of pants, shoes, and a jacket. He didn’t caption the post, but one could argue that it needs no caption.

The rapper also shared a post featuring one of the possible songs on his new album. The video starred Sha’Carri Richardson, the Olympic hopeful who was bumped from the games because of the presence of marijuana in her blood work. The rapper gave the athlete her time to shine as a previously unreleased track played while she ran the 100-meter track and listening to the track through a new pair of Beats By Dre headphones. The song titled, “No Child Left Behind,” could be the first single off of West’s upcoming album DONDA.

The ad may have been a commercial for Beats By Dre but the “Hey Mama” rapper also took the opportunity to inform fans of something he has coming up. Apparently, a “listening event” with “live stream on Apple Music at 8pm ET.” Fans obviously went nuts because West has not dropped music since Jesus Is King and he also hasn’t posted on any social media platforms since October 2018. “YEEZY SEASON HAS APPROACHED,” commented fellow rapper Tyler the creator who is also allegedly featured on one of the tracks on DONDA. “Dope ! She deserve this,” commented a fan referring to West’s mother Donda West who the album is inspired by.

The rapper recently had a listening party for the album in Las Vegas. Fans were informed by former basketball player Justin Laboy who just could not contain his excitement for the new music. Like a true Kanye West fan, he gushed that the new album is a hit. Even going as far as to tell other fans that they should get their fill of their other favorite artist right away because when West drops his new album, they won’t want to listen t anything else. Those are big words about someone who is currently more known for his family drama than his music. However, the “Monster” rapper has rarely disappointed when dropping new music.

Fans are expecting that West, who normally raps about personal issues will have a lot to say about his life with Kardashian and the drama that persisted when the marriage began to break down. One of the alleged tracks titled “Welcome To My Life,” speaks on West escaping from the confines of Calabasas insinuating that his life with Kardashian and her family was like a “prison”. However, PageSix reported that West has played the album for his soon-to-be ex-wife and she approves. She knows that the rapper's music is often “emotional and personal”.
