The Singer’s Arrest Comes After She Received Positive Legal News

Britney Spears was recently granted a permanent restraining order against a man who showed up at her home in 2025 after allegedly sharing "disturbing social media posts."
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the man, only identified as Donald, was spotted by Spears’ security guard, who promptly called the sheriff's department.
Once local deputies arrived at the scene, they found the man smoking cigarettes and took him into custody. He also “exhibited odd behavior and made several incoherent comments” during his arrest.
Spears Recently Sold Her Music Catalogue Amid Rumors Of Financial Issues

Last month, Spears reportedly sold her music catalogue for around $200 million to music publishing house Primary Wave, but the sale is said to be due to the singer’s alleged financial woes.
According to the Daily Mail, an inside source told the outlet that Spears’ "heavy spending" is a major factor behind her decision to sell her music catalogue, while an additional source said it’s due to the reality that her once-lucrative music career is over.
"Everyone has to be realistic with Britney's future, including herself, so selling her catalog was wise because she isn't going to get back into music," the source said.
Her 2017 Las Vegas Residency Was Her Last Source Of Consistent Income

Britney Spears previously had a Las Vegas residency that ran from 2013 to 2017, but since then she has struggled financially, according to an insider.
"Without her Vegas shows, she is really suffering," the source told the Daily Mail. "Those shows made her a fortune, but that ended years ago, sadly. The best thing for her is to go back to Vegas to perform again and have a steady paycheck, but I don't think she wants to work that hard."
Spears’ last full-length studio album was released in 2016, and she has not toured since 2017.
"Britney has plenty of money, but since she doesn't do music anymore, since she doesn't tour anymore or have a residency, there are only certain money-making ventures coming in, like her perfume line or her book," the source shared with the outlet regarding her finances.
The source also noted that the pop star still "needs to bring in money," because her spending habits are so exorbitant and she frequently travels.
"Britney spends like crazy, she does not have any limits, she is always traveling and buying new clothes, and she has a large staff to pay," the source said.
