Things are evidently changing for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson.
The estranged couple is making moves to keep their lives separate as they navigate through their next chapters. Simpson and Johnson's current move seems to ward off previous speculations of reconciliation, which made waves towards the end of last year.
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson separated in 2024 after their marriage, which lasted a decade. The former lovebirds have shifted focus to building a healthy co-parenting relationship for the three children they share.
Jessica Simpson And Eric Johnson Have Separate Home Addresses Now

Simpson and Johnson previously lived together in a $17 million mansion in Los Angeles during their marriage, and now they have decided to live in separate houses. Johnson has moved out into a house not too far from the villa, and the actress has decided to continue living in the house.
The 6-bedroom,10-bathroom, 10,000-square-foot L.A.-area mansion was initially put on the market for sale for over a year. Simpson first listed it at $22 million in 2023 and then took it off the market.
TMZ reports that in January, the singer relisted the house for $17.9 million but then took it off shortly after. Simpson has had the mansion in her name since 2013, when she purchased it from legendary singer Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon.
At the time, the actress bought it from the Osbournes for $11.5 million and has lived in it for thirteen years and counting. Simpson now shares the home with her three children, Maxwell Drew, Ace Knute, and Birdie Mae, when they are not with their father.
The Estranged Couple Were Rumored To Be Reconciling

The state of the former lovebirds' relationship became a topic on social media after the singer's father, Joe Simpson, made a comment about the possibility of them getting back together.
During an interview at the Giving A Smile Foundation Gala in Beverly Hills in December last year, he mentioned that the chances of his daughter and her ex getting back together lie in their hands and not his.
The Blast reported that Joe stated that reconciliation for the ex-lovers is uncertain. As no one knows the future, they might get back together, he explained before confirming that his former son-in-law is invited to celebrate Christmas with them as a family.
Joe's comment seemed to be the icing on the cake for online speculators after the estranged couple had been spotted together on several outings, including a family trip to Carlsbad, California, earlier in the year, and at Ashlee Simpson's Las Vegas show in August.
Why Did The Former Couple Go Their Separate Ways?

While no reason has been explicitly disclosed as the cause of the split, Simpson has hinted that infidelity played a part via the lyrics of he songs.
In her single "Leave," which was released after her split from Johnson, she described moments when her former partner's mind wandered away from her to be fixated on another woman during bedroom activities.
"Your weakness made me lonely/Unholy matrimony/Did you do to her what you did to me. Was she on her knees/She's everything but me," she sang on the track. Simpson also admitted that she felt humiliated by the infidelity.
Another possible reason for their breakup was disagreements over their kids' interests. Reportedly, Simpson supports their eldest daughter, Maxwell, who hopes to pursue a career in Hollywood, but Johnson is against the idea. He prefers that Maxwell focus on school and build an interest in spots instead.
Does The Singer Have A Spot In The Dating Scene?

Many news outlets have confirmed that Simpson is single and is not dating at the moment, either, as her kids are her primary focus. There were swirling rumors in January about the mom of three being featured on "The Bachelorette," opening an avenue for her to find love again.
Simpson, however, clarified that she does not need to be on a dating show to find a partner, saying, "I have options, I'm good." She spoke to reporters outside the airport in L.A. while signing autographs, and when she was asked if she would consider going on the show, she responded: "I don't care about that."
The Blast noted that Simpson has not totally closed the door on finding romantic interests; she previously disclosed that she does not mind dating again and would like to be set up by her friends.
Jessica Simpson's Split From Eric Johnson Does Not Limit Her Style

After Simpson became single following ten years of marriage, the TV star spoke about how her dress and fashion sense had evolved. She revealed that she no longer dresses for external attention; instead, she chooses outfits that radiate her self-confidence.
"I definitely dress for myself. Whereas my younger self used to dress for guys, or for other girls to compliment me, or for attention. I think I'm more confident now in just a white tank top and shorts or leather pants," she shared in a previous interview.
As reported by The Blast, the mom of three also puts her kids into consideration when she steps out in style, rocking simple outfits and even men's suit coats, which she finds sexy.
"I'm at the place where only my opinion matters. And of course, my kids. I don't want to embarrass my children!" she stressed.
