Lindsay Lohan has reportedly chosen to remain in Dubai despite escalating war tensions in the region.
However, her decision has left members of her family increasingly worried, even as she continues to maintain regular communication with them. The actress has been living in the Emirati city since 2014 and later married Kuwaiti financier Bader Shammas.
Lindsay Lohan recently added her voice to the list of celebrities who have called for a de-escalation in the rising tensions in the Middle East.
The Actress's Family Is 'Concerned' About The 'Scary' Situation In Dubai

As tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate, many foreigners have chosen to return to their home countries.
The same cannot be said for actress Lindsay Lohan, who lives in Dubai with her husband, Bader Shammas, and their son, Luai.
Sources have now told the Daily Mail that her decision to remain there has left her family increasingly "concerned."
"There's a lot going on over there," a source said, sharing the concern of Lohan's parents with the outlet. "The family has been in constant communication. Right now, she's safe."
Regarding her decision to stay, a secondary source claimed that the actress "has been really comfortable in Dubai," seemingly suggesting that Lohan is not ready to upset that balance in her life by moving back to the U.S.
Regardless, she is still very much aware of the "scary" situation, and her family also shares the same sentiment.
The Actress Will Be Moved To Safety If The Dubai Situation Escalates

In the meantime, Dubai has suffered some casualties amid rising tensions in the Middle East, including a suspected drone attack on its airport and a popular hotel.
Despite this, Lohan's family reportedly understands that the decision to move back is ultimately hers, although they "would like her to" for obvious reasons.
"That's up to her,' said the first source. "Her peace and happiness are the most important things - and safety."
If the situation deteriorates to the point where Lohan and her immediate family's safety can no longer be guaranteed, "there is a plan in place for her to get out" to somewhere safe.
At that point, she is also expected to "do the right thing" and reconsider her decision to stay in Dubai.
Lindsay Lohan Prayed For Peace In The Middle East

Emotionally, Lohan has been deeply affected by the situation in the Middle East and took to social media last Sunday to express her hope for de-escalation.
"Praying for peace. Stay safe, everyone. God bless us all," the "Freakier Friday" star wrote.
The same sentiments were shared by former Premier League star Rio Ferdinand and wife Kate Ferdinand, who, like Lohan, live in Dubai.
"Thank you for all your messages and sorry for the silence, I haven't wanted to worry you all. I just haven't been able to find the words. We are safe," Kate wrote on her Instagram Stories, per Hello Magazine. "The government are doing an amazing job of keeping it that way and despite my nerves I feel we are in very safe hands."
She added, "Thank you for all your prayers, this whole experience is very eye opening and I am praying for anyone affected. Lots of love to everyone."
The Actress Described Living In Dubai As 'Very Grounding'

Lohan has been living in Dubai for over a decade, and over the years has grown very fond of the city.
Speaking with Vogue Arabia for its March cover story, the actress revealed what she finds most alluring about the city, one of which is the balance it brings to her once-troubled life.
"Being in Dubai is very grounding," the mother of one revealed. "I get to just spend time with my family. The city gives me a sense of being with what's most important."
Perhaps even more important for the "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" star is that she doesn't have to deal with the constant hovering of paparazzi, as the city takes privacy issues very seriously.
She previously faced much of this while living in the U.S. and working in Hollywood.
"That's a big breath of fresh air, having to not overthink everything you do every second," Lohan further remarked.
Lindsay Lohan Speaks About Motherhood

Lohan has been very candid about her motherhood journey, once sharing with E! News how challenging it was at first.
"In the beginning, I didn't want to miss a moment," the actress said during a chat with the news outlet in June 2024. "Even when the baby is sleeping, you tend to become a little stalker. But once you get into a good system, you start to understand that it's OK to take time."
"I need this," Lohan continued. "I need to feel great in order to be great for my child."
She further noted that "After giving birth, you realize, as women, how strong we are" and that women tend to "forget to give ourselves credit for that."
Lohan added, "There are moments when we should take a break, sit down, and stop and think about all of the things we do and how much power we have. I've learned that this past year more than I knew before."
