In the trailer of the soon-to-be-released Netflix documentary "Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom," Khloé revealed that her former husband dealt with deeper, darker issues beyond the facade of their very happy marriage.

Recall that their duo's fairytale wedding was aired live on E! and they also earned a spinoff titled "Khloé & Lamar," to further bring the public closer to their world.

However, the business mogul admitted in the trailer that behind the scenes, Lamar dealt with frequent rehab trips and then went on a drug bender for days, where no one could find him.

"I just felt such a responsibility to cover this up and protect him," Khloé emphasized. Lamar also looked back on the first time he tried cocaine and how that feeling led him into the abyss of drug addiction.

The Mother-On-Two Reflected On Losing The Battle To Help Her Ex

Last January, on the third episode of her "Khloé in Wonderland" podcast, she answered a very crucial question about the moment when she was left helpless about a situation.

She swiftly recalled trying to help Lamar get over his addiction by begging him to join Team USA during his off-season instead of staying idle and indulging again.

As stated by PEOPLE, Khloé added that she wanted him on the team very badly to help him focus, be motivated, and feel good about himself, but Lamar did not see where she was coming from.

"It took me a long time to get to, then I had to file for divorce. That was a very pivotal moment in my life because I remember that statement being like...' Yeah, you're right. I can't want your life more than you," Khloé continued, narrating the moment she gave up.

She noted that from that experience with Lamar, she learnt that she could not help everyone, no matter how badly she wanted to.

Khloé also discovered that being married to a person with an addiction was the last thing she wanted, because it is a slippery slope, and in Lamar's case, it took her about 18 months into their marriage for her to find out.

The mother-of-two last year spoke about the times she was married to the former Lakers player, and how she was barely 25, but knew she wanted to marry him within 30 days of knowing each other. She confessed that she indeed loved Lamar with her heart and soul and was the love of her life.

She added that throughout the seven years of her marriage, she stuck to her vows, but some bigger things remained a roadblock in the journey of their union. The star broke her no-contact rule with the athlete last year when they met at her bestie Malika Haqq’s home.

Khloé described the meeting as a process to offload her emotional trauma over the years with a simple conversation, void of bad blood or any ill feelings. She tagged it as the beginning of the process of finally letting go rather than rekindling any buried feelings.

What else would Khloé Kardashian reveal when the Lamar Odom documentary drops!
