Last year, news of Aaron Rodgers signing an additional one-year deal to stay with the Steelers was largely overshadowed by the revelation that he had quietly married a woman named Brittani.

Despite how much time has passed, it seems some members of his inner circle remain unaware of this woman, despite how intensely the footballer has spoken about her in interviews.

One such person appears to be Pat McAfee, whom Rodgers met at a golf tournament in 2019 and who later featured him for a while on "The Pat McAfee Show."

Recently, McAfee admitted to the Daily Mail that he has yet to meet Brittani, but is looking forward to the experience.

Interestingly, it was also in McAfee's eponymous show that Rodgers first revealed his relationship with Brittani.

Back in December 2024, he divulged the details to the journalist, adding that it was a "good feeling" to be in love, per People Magazine.

Months later, on the same show, and after the marriage, Rodgers revealed that his wife is a "private person."

According to the footballer, she "doesn't want to be in the public eye" and "didn't sign up to be a celebrity."

He also shared a personal detail about how his wife "doesn't have social media," and any pictures of her will only appear publicly if she ever chooses to share them.

The four-time NFL MVP also criticized what he called the media's sense of entitlement to details about his personal life, especially due to his mystery wife.

Rodgers claimed that he had been stalked and that people had even called the paparazzi during his past relationships.

"I had people leaking my home information," the veteran quarterback shared.

He added, "I didn't want any of that, didn't like any of that, and now I'm with somebody who's private."

In July 2025, Rodgers reflected on his marriage to Brittani after debuting his wedding ring in a picture of his contract extension.

At the time, he described his new wife as "incredible" and claimed she is the "right one" for him.

"When you meet the right one, and you're with the right one, your whole world changes in a second. And to have that person that unconditionally loves you behind the scenes, there's no better feeling in the world, and I have the most incredible wife," Rodgers said in an interview at Steelers training camp.

Rodgers heaped further praise on his wife,  calling her his "rock."

"I just really love her, and I'm so thankful to have her by my side at the end," he continued. "When you have that stability and that rock behind you at the house, you feel like you can do anything."

Aaron Rodgers Will Reportedly Reveal His Career Decision Before Free Agency

Last year, speculation ran high about Rodgers potentially retiring, especially as he had not been open about discussing his future plans.

He ultimately signed a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Steelers, which brought to an end his two-year stint with the New York Jets.

With free agency set to officially open on March 11, rumors have resurfaced about what the veteran quarterback's next move will be, particularly as he approaches his 43rd birthday in December.

While Rodgers remains tight-lipped about his intentions, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that a decision is expected before free agency begins, unlike last year, when the team had to wait until June for him to finalize his deal.

"He's had positive discussions with the Pittsburgh Steelers and his old friend Mike McCarthy," Rapoport revealed about the player, per Heavy. "Surely, an answer is coming before free agency."
