Manilow hopped on social media to share good news with his fans about his recent accomplishments in his career and with his health. The video starts with a funny remark with the singer saying, "Hi everyone, Barry Manilow here. Well, looks like I made it, and I look fabulous, right?"
He then continues saying that with everything that is happening in the world currently, he wanted to "check in and share some good news" with his fans.
The singer goes on to say the news was more than just good, but was, in fact, great news. The artist dropped the bombshell, happily stating that his latest single, "Once Before I Go," had entered the top 10 on the pop charts.
"I'm 100 years old with a top 10 single on the pop charts. Top ten. Like my grandmother once said: 'Next thing you know, they'll be walking on the moon,'" he playfully remarked.

The singer recently went under the knife to remove a cancerous spot found in one of his lungs. He previously told fans about the surgery, assuring them that since it was detected early, he would not have to undergo chemotherapy or radiation after the surgery.
During his check-in video with fans, he expressed gratitude to them for the kind words, support, and caring messages he had received over the last couple of months, saying, "It's been a long ride, and since I have no patience, it's been agony."
Manilow quickly added that he is getting stronger thanks to his great doctors and wonderful friends and family who make sure he gets the best healthcare. He also expressed how excited he is to share his new songs with the world.
He previously had to postpone his tours and shows for the first months of the year, explaining that his doctors had not cleared him fit enough to host a 90-minute concert and he could not sing more than three songs in a row at the time.
The music icon ended his statement saying, "So here's to another century of making music together, my friends, all my love and gratitude."
The 'Copacabana' Hitmaker Shared What Prompted The Recent Diagnosis

Manilow, who has been a smoker since his youth, initially battled with throat cancer for years. According to the Cleveland Clinic, throat cancer is a general term for cancer that affects the throat and voice box.
After treatments and being cancer-free for a few years, the singer announced in late 2025 that he had been diagnosed with a different form of cancer.
The songwriter disclosed that he had suffered from bronchitis for about six weeks with a five-week relapse, and this triggered the doctors to request that he undergo an MRI scan.
From the MRI, the doctors discovered the cancerous spot on his left lung. Since it was discovered very early, the treatment was less aggressive without radiation.
The Blast shared that even though his treatment plan was not aggressive, considering his age and other factors, Manilow was ordered by doctors to get as much rest as possible. He then revealed that she spends much time on the treadmill trying to maintain an active lifestyle.
The 'Could Be Magic' Singer Was Set To Return In February

Shortly after Manilow shared the news about his health and treatment plans, he announced that his surgeries would take the whole of January, causing him to reschedule all the shows slated for that month. He added that he was looking forward to returning in February to perform during the Valentine's weekend.
"In the meantime, I'm counting the days until I return to my home away from home at the Westgate Las Vegas for our Valentine's weekend concerts on February 12-13-14 and throughout 2026," his statement read.
The Blast previously shared that Manilow assured fans that the Valentine's weekend concert would be worthwhile, encouraging them to be of good cheer as he faces his health challenges head-on.
Ultimately, the musician's Valentine's weekend concert did not hold as Manilow was advised to rest for two more weeks by his doctors.
Barry Manilow Refused To Put His Career On The Back Burner

In 2022, there were raging issues after Neil Young asked other artists to take a stance against Joe Rogan and Spotify. The issue began after Spotify refused to regulate COVID-19 misinformation on Rogan's podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience."
The Blast shared that medical professionals even stepped in, signing an open letter asking Spotify to stop "mass-information events" and monitor COVID-19 misinformation being spread on its platform.
The music streaming platform did not budge to the medical professionals' plea, so Young stepped in, writing to them to comply or remove his music.
Spotify took Rogan's side and took down Young's music from the platform. Amid the whole drama, there were rumors that Manilow was going to take down his music from the platform in solidarity.
Manilow cleared the air in a post stating that he had no plans to remove his music from the platform. This stance resulted in slams from fans, with some calling him out to "do the right thing."
Looking forward to Barry Manilow's new album!
