Kristen Bell Called Out For 'Weird Stuff' After Doctor Reveals Bizarre Medical Request: 'That Tracks'

Kristen Bell is making headlines again, but this time it isn't for a new acting role or a viral parenting tip. 

A popular social media personality has come forward with a story about a very unusual health question the actress once sent his way. 

The revelation has sparked a wave of reactions from fans who seem surprisingly unfazed by the bizarre medical inquiry.

Dr. Mikhail Varshavski, better known to millions of followers as "Dr. Mike," recently shared a story that has left fans of Bell doing a double-take.

During a guest appearance on "The Basement Yard" podcast, the TikTok-famous physician revealed that the “Veronica Mars” star once reached out to him with a serious medical question: should she start drinking her own urine? 

According to the doctor, the 45-year-old actress was considering the practice because a friend of hers was allegedly doing it for health benefits.

Addressing the hosts, Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez, Varshavski clarified that he wasn't breaking any privacy laws by sharing the story since Bell wasn't an official patient and the exchange happened over messages. 

He even looked directly into the camera to address the actress, saying, “Kristen Bell, I can’t believe you really considered drinking urine.” He went on to explain that he had to respectfully advise her against the idea. 

As it turned out, the situation was actually an elaborate prank, per Page Six. One of Bell’s castmates had been tricking her by creating beverages that merely looked like urine, leading the actress to believe there was a legitimate health trend she was missing out on.

The podcast hosts joked about how convincing the prank must have been for Bell to seek medical advice from a social media personality.

Meanwhile, fans flooded the comment sections with reactions that suggest Bell has a reputation for quirky behavior.

One user noted that, given her marriage to Dax Shepard, the story wasn’t a surprise. “Kristen Bell is still married to Dax Shepherd… So this does not surprise me,” the fan wrote.

The front of the handmade note featured the confusing but humorous greeting, "Happy Father’s Day, Mom!" However, the message inside took an unexpected turn when her daughter praised her as a "creative and consiterate [sic- bitch."

Instead of being offended, Bell embraced the edgy tribute, posting it to social media with the caption, "Best card anyone has ever given or gotten." The post racked up thousands of likes, with followers cheering on the blunt honesty, per The Blast.

To mark her 12th wedding anniversary with Shepard, Bell shared a photo on Instagram with a caption that many followers found insensitive.

She quoted her husband’s unusual romantic declaration: "I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I'm heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would."

According to The Blast, the post immediately sparked a wave of backlash, primarily because it was shared during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Critics were quick to call the 45-year-old actress "tone-deaf" and "tasteless" for making light of a serious issue that affects thousands of women. 

Weeks after the internet debated Bell’s "insensitive" anniversary jokes, music legend Cher delivered a low-key roast of Bell’s husband, Shepard.

During a January 2026 appearance on Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, the 79-year-old icon didn’t hold back when the conversation turned to his long-standing marriage. 

As Shepard reflected on his own past and how it shaped their relationship, Cher cut through the self-analysis with a blunt reality check. “You’re lucky. She is definitely the better half,” Cher told him, per The Blast. 

The exchange grew even more awkward when Shepard leaned into the jab, seemingly agreeing that Bell could do better. He eventually asked Cher who her "dream partner" for his wife would be, to which Cher said, “The truth is, I trust her. So you must have something that I don’t see,” she replied.
