Diddy Lands Small Win Amid His Get Out Of Prison Quest

Diddy's fight to regain his freedom has yielded minuscule results.
The rapper has been incarcerated since September 2024 following a highly publicized federal case on sex-related crimes.
Diddy's fall from grace began after his former flame, Cassie Ventura, filed a sexual assault and abuse lawsuit against him. After settling with her, more women came forward to accuse the record producer of similar crimes.
Diddy's Release Date Cut Short Months After Appeal

According to new reports, Diddy's release date from prison has been pushed up from June 4, 2028, to April 25, 2028. The new date was listed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, marking the second time there had been a change in the rapper's 50-month sentence.
Page Six reported that Diddy's release date had previously been pushed forward from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028 in November 2025. At the time, his sentence was increased because the disgraced musician was accused of violating multiple prison rules.
In the latest development in Diddy's case, his release date was reduced amid his efforts to score an early release or have his guilty conviction thrown out of court. On that note, he filed an appeal and entered a drug-abuse rehabilitation program in November 2025.
More About The Changes In The Rapper's 50-Month Sentence

According to the outlet, entering a drug-abuse rehabilitation program can help inmates shorten their prison sentence. At the time of Diddy's acceptance into the program, his attorney was full of praise, claiming "he is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change."
However, Diddy did not showcase the qualities of a man committed to positive change in the past when his release date was pushed back due to prison rule violations. He was accused of consuming "homemade alcohol" and making a three-way phone call.
Both actions were prohibited, but Diddy had argued that he didn't know that "third-party or three-way calls are not authorized." His rep echoed similar sentiments at the time, arguing that the "procedural call" was "improper," and was "protected under attorney-client privilege."
The Disgraced Entertainer Filed An Appeal In December 2025

Diddy's latest minuscule victory comes nearly three months after he filed an appeal in December 2025. The BBC covered the story, reporting that the convicted Hip-Hop star had asked the appeals court to grant him his freedom and overturn his conviction on two prostitution-related crimes.
The rapper's attorney argued that his 50-month prison sentence was "unlawful, unconstitutional, and a perversion of justice." On that note, the legal rep asked for Diddy to be resentenced if the appeals panel did not throw out his conviction in its entirety.
US District Judge Arun Subramanian ultimately sentenced Diddy to 50 months in prison, more than four years after he was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He escaped the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking as the jury found him not guilty.
The Bad Boy Records Founder Has Tasty Meals Behind Bars

In December 2025, The Blast reported that sources claimed Diddy's time behind bars wasn't bad in the meal section. For New Year's Eve, he and other inmates at Fort Dix could choose between hamburgers and fries for lunch or a baked potato and a black bean burger.
Dinner included pasta, marinara sauce, and meatballs with a side of garden salad and garlic bread. Then on January 1, 2026, Diddy and other inmates celebrated the first day of the year with grilled beef or tofu lo mein and baked fish for breakfast.
They were also served broccoli, kidney beans, or a baked potato to accompany their meals. Desserts included fruit or a holiday treat, while dinner was less glamorous with a deli meat and sliced cheese sandwich or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Diddy Took His Beverly Hills Mansion Off The Market

That same month, The Blast reported that Diddy had quietly taken his Beverly Hills mansion off the market after failing to find a buyer for months. He had tried to sell the infamous property known for hosting his "freak offs" for $61.5 million.
Diddy purchased the 10-bedroom, 13-bathroom mansion in 2014 for $39 million, and its infamy began growing in March 2024 when Homeland Security agents raided the place. The raid was a part of the highly publicized sex trafficking investigation that led to the music mogul's downfall.
The Beverly Hills home was originally listed on the market in September 2024, just days before Diddy was arrested and indicted on federal charges in New York. During his 2025 sentencing, Judge Subramanian cited Diddy's past violence as a significant factor for his harsh punishment.
Will Diddy continue to appeal his sentence?
