The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues to take dramatic turns, with new statements, surveillance details, and reward offers keeping the case in sharp focus.
After a SWAT team raided a Tucson home earlier this month, the man detained in connection with the probe is now speaking publicly for the first time.
As officials piece together a digital and physical timeline, the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother remains urgent and deeply unsettling.

Nearly two weeks after a SWAT team descended on his Tucson home, Luke Daley is telling his side of the story.
On February 13, officers armed with search warrants searched the residence he shares with his 77-year-old mother, located about two miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home.
Both were detained for hours before being released without charges. Daley addressed the situation in a March 2 interview with True Crime Arizona host Briana Whitney.
He believes investigators focused on him after online speculation suggested he resembled the masked figure seen on doorbell footage the night Nancy vanished.
Pushing back firmly, he said, “It’s not me. I don’t see the resemblance of it looking like me. Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case.”
He criticized how quickly assumptions spread, adding, “Someone says something, and then they just go off of it based on no evidence, no truth.”
Daley also insisted he has no knowledge of who may be responsible, saying, “I, like everyone else, just want Nancy to come home and be safe.”
Attorney Clarifies Daley’s Status In Nancy’s Case

Following the high-profile raid, Daley’s attorney, Chris Scileppi, confirmed that two search warrants were issued and served on February 13, 2026.
While the law enforcement action drew significant attention, Scileppi emphasized that neither Daley nor his mother was arrested.
In a formal statement to PEOPLE, he explained, “Daley and his mother were both detained by law enforcement while the search warrants were being executed.”
He further clarified, “Neither Daley nor his mother were arrested in connection to this case or any other.”
Scileppi strongly rejected any suggestion of involvement, stating, “Daley has no link whatsoever to Nancy Guthrie and has no information related to her kidnapping.”
He also noted that his client and his mother share the community’s concern, saying, “Like the entire Tucson community, both Daley and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed.”
Authorities have not publicly identified Daley as a suspect, and the investigation continues.
Timeline Of Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance Emerges

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing after she failed to attend a planned virtual church service on February 1.
Her family called 911 at 12:03 p.m. that afternoon. Investigators later said they believe she was taken against her will during the early morning hours.
On February 10, authorities released surveillance images and video showing a masked individual armed with a gun on Nancy’s front porch during the early morning hours before she vanished.
The FBI Phoenix office described the individual as “a male, approximately 5’9” - 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.”
Authorities noted that identifying the backpack could be key, as it may have been purchased at Walmart. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos previously described that detail as one of the strongest leads so far.
Investigators also revealed a troubling digital timeline. Nancy’s doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m. At 2:12 a.m., the device captured a dark figure approaching the home.
Sixteen minutes later, at 2:28 a.m., her pacemaker disconnected from its monitoring app.
Additional Doorbell Footage Emerges In Nancy Search

As part of the widening probe, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office asked residents within a two-mile radius to submit doorbell camera footage dating back to Jan. 1.
Investigators placed special focus on Jan. 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight and January 31 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
In late February, a couple living approximately 2.5 miles from Nancy’s home released a video captured at 2:36 a.m. on February 1.
The footage showed a car speeding down their road roughly eight minutes after Nancy Guthrie’s pacemaker last synced with her iPhone, according to the sheriff’s timeline.
Officials confirmed they were aware of the video shared with media outlets, but did not indicate whether it provided useful leads.
Notably, the home that captured the vehicle fell outside both the originally requested radius and the specific time frames investigators had emphasized.
Man Arrested After Driving Past Nancy Guthrie’s Home 50 To 100 Times

According to reports, a man was arrested outside Nancy’s home after allegedly driving past the property “50 to 100 times,” raising eyebrows amid the ongoing investigation into her disappearance.
On February 26, deputies from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department detained 34-year-old Antonio De Jesus Pena-Campos in a blue vehicle near Nancy’s Catalina Foothills home.
The incident occurred after a NewsNation correspondent captured footage of him repeatedly circling the residence and stopping, sometimes slowly, while viewing a photo of Nancy on his phone.
Authorities later arrested him on suspicion of DUI after he failed a roadside sobriety test, and police confirmed the arrest was not connected to the Nancy investigation.
