Dennis Quaid's Air Force One Rendezvous With President Trump Slammed as 'Crazy' by Former Co-Star

Dennis Quaid’s recent trip aboard Air Force One has sparked a fiery Hollywood feud that is currently trending across social media.
The “Reagan” actor found himself in the crosshairs of his former co-star after a series of viral clips showed him cozying up to the 45th President, Donald Trump.
Similarly, other A-listers have received public backlash for publicly supporting Trump, including Savannah Chrisley and Nicki Minaj.
Lauren Holly Blasts Dennis Quaid’s Support for Donald Trump

The drama kicked off after Senator Ted Cruz shared a series of moments from aboard Air Force One, featuring Quaid alongside Trump. In one particularly viral clip, Cruz asked Quaid, who recently portrayed the 40th President in the 2024 biopic “Reagan,” what President Reagan would think of Trump.
Slipping into his Reagan voice, Quaid quipped, "I think he's like me on steroids, actually." While Cruz hailed the moment as a meeting between "two great American Presidents.”
However, Quaid’s former “Any Given Sunday” co-star, Lauren Holly, was decidedly less impressed. After Quaid said, “I love Donald Trump" during a public appearance with the president, she responded to the footage of Quaid’s vocal support, saying, "It's crazy to me at this point,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
After journalist Yashar Ali shared a photo of Quaid on the presidential plane, Holly also reminded fans of their roles as a dysfunctional married couple in the 1999 football drama.
"At least I got to slap him real hard in 'Any Given Sunday'," she wrote.
Dennis Quaid Similarly Supported Trump in 2024

Although Quaid has been vocal about his support for Trump, he wasn’t always the president’s biggest fan. Back in 2024, he admitted to Piers Morgan that he hadn’t always been a ride-or-die supporter.
He confessed that he used to "cringe" at some of Trump’s rhetoric during the 2016 and 2020 cycles. However, his stance shifted as he began to view the legal challenges against the former president as a "weaponization of our justice system." This perceived threat to the Constitution pushed the self-described Independent to make a firm choice.
"People might call him an a--hole, but he's my a--hole,” he said of the president, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Savannah Chrisley Bashed For Defending Trump

Quaid isn’t the only public figure to catch the heat for siding with Trump. Reality star Savannah Chrisley recently found herself in the middle of a much more aggressive firestorm on “The View.”
Serving as a guest co-host during a recent episode, the “Chrisley Knows Best” alumna sparked an explosive debate when she flatly rejected claims that Trump is racist, per The Blast.
Facing off against a panel that included Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, Savannah insisted she had seen a different side of the politician "firsthand," specifically citing his 18-year friendship with a Black woman as proof of his character.
The exchange grew increasingly tense as Hostin fired back, "So he has a Black friend. He’s a racist," while Whoopi Goldberg rattled off a list of past controversies.
Despite being outnumbered, Savannah remained steadfast, arguing that the public portrayal of Trump was untrue.
Nicki Minaj’s Fans Tag Her A ‘Sell-Out’ Following Public Support For Trump

Just as Savannah caught the heat for defending Trump, rapper Nicki Minaj wasn’t spared either.
In January, the "Queen of Rap" stunned at the U.S. Treasury Department’s "Trump Accounts" summit in Washington, D.C., when she joined the President on stage to help launch a new federal savings program for children.
Dressed in a white fur coat and holding hands with Trump, Minaj boldly declared herself "probably the president’s number one fan.”
The Blast reported that the appearance followed weeks of Minaj aligning herself with conservative heavyweights, including a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest alongside Erika Kirk.
The rapper’s fans were notably divided over her support for Trump, with some labeling her a "sell-out" and others calling her “weird.”
Vanilla Ice’s Performance At Trump’s NYE Party Led To Backlash

Weeks before Nicki Minaj was slammed for being a Trump supporter, Vanilla Ice performed at the president's New Year's Eve party, and he received the heat for it.
Clad in a signature white suit and cap, the performer sang his 1990 smash hit while a costumed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle danced alongside him. The performance sparked a brutal roasting from critics online who labeled the set "tacky" and "washed up,” per The Blast.
One commenter mocked him for clinging to "the ONLY song he has" after 35 years. Another slammed the political backdrop, dismissing Vanilla Ice as the "most relevant" musician the MAGA movement could recruit.
