Chalamet went down memory lane during a town hall event with McConaughey, produced by CNN and Variety.

He recalled how McConaughey took a dump in his trailer as a prank on their last day of filming "Interstellar."

The "Marty Supreme" star shared that he was feeling sad and emotional that their time on set was coming to a close, only to get to his trailer and discover a "huge turd" in his toilet.

"I felt so disrespected," he narrated. "I was like, 'I know I'm not the star in this movie, but who [did this?]'"

The incident left him irritated, after which he started asking the "big guys" who operated the equipment on set if they "let it loose" in his trailer.

The then-teenage Chalamet seemingly ran into no luck finding the culprit until he asked director Christopher Nolan, who then told him McConaughey was responsible.

"Matthew had this devilish grin on his face," Chalamet shared. "I said, 'Why did you do that?' And he said, 'It's a Texas coming of age, baby.'"

Social media users didn't seem to find the prank funny, with many slamming McConaughey and calling his actions "disgusting."

One person wrote on X, "That's just gross and immature, not some cute 'Texas ritual.' A grown man pulling that on a teenager is more creepy than funny."

"I'm an eighth-generation Texan. I believe can speak with authority on this: No, it isn't," another individual stated about McConaughey's claim that the poop prank is a "Texas coming of age."

A third X user commented, "I never knew I'd use the words 'unattractive' and 'Matthew McConaughey' in one sentence before, but here we are."

However, some fans seemed to find it funny, with one person asking, "Why's he sounding so offended? Men joke like this all the time with each other."

Both actors have clearly moved past the dirty prank, as Chalamet expressed gratitude for the experience he got working on the set of the sci-fi epic, calling it "inspiring" for the chance to make his film debut at such a young age with the veteran actor.

"That movie, to me, is really the origin point in seeing how you carried yourself on set and how seriously you took the work," he told McConaughey.

"I feel like coming out of high school, it's hard to take yourself super seriously. It can feel like you're wasting time," Chalamet said, adding that the film "changed [his] life."

He went further to heap praises on McConaughey's work ethic and the warmth he showed toward him.

"I can't thank you enough for being warm to me at that time. You had no reason to be warm to me," he said.

Chalamet has since grown into an A-list star in his own right and has been nominated for the Oscars four times.

He has also featured in many well-known films, including the "Dune" franchise and the 2017 comedy drama "Ladybird."

However, it appears some still doubt his talent, as Chalamet narrated an uncomfortable situation he had with a mysterious former costar, who called his acting skills into question.

"No names, but the guy was a punk," Chalamet told McConaughey during their recent conversation. "He asked me what conservatory I had gone to, and I said I didn't go to an acting conservatory. And he said, 'Well, you haven't trained as an actor then.' And we were all part of an ensemble."

Chalamet then shared that one thing he has picked up is the ability to tune out unsolicited career advice.

"I always said, 'Beware of the people in life that get more of the advice they give you than you get from the advice,'" he explained. "They're thrilled by the act of giving you advice. All of a sudden, you can't listen to what they're saying anymore because they're flexing on you so hard."

"You never did that to me, though," he told the Oscar winner, "which I'm grateful for."

Chalamet, who has been dating Kylie Jenner over the past three years, is rumored to have distanced himself from her amid his push for an Oscar. The actor ditched spending time with the famous reality TV star on Valentine's Day, but was rather in the company of Elle Fanning as they did a retrospective series for him.

Now insiders claim the move is proof there may be trouble in paradise and the actor is "quietly distancing" himself from her, as he pushes to bring home the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as a ping-pong champion in "Marty Supreme."

"The fact Timothée didn't arrange to spend Valentine's Day with Kylie is being seen as a huge red flag," a source said, per the National Enquirer. "He could have easily arranged to do his promo with Elle and have Kylie there with him. The fact that he didn't is a huge deal and very hurtful, no matter how much he tries to blame it on work commitments."

"No one is getting in his way," the insider continued. "He's very matter-of-fact about this Oscar race taking precedence over everything else, so there was no chance he was going to say no when his team wanted him to do this. But he didn't have to leave Kylie behind … Things have changed and not for the better."

"A lot of people are saying he's distancing himself from her," the source shared. "No doubt it's part of his Oscar push. Academy members pay attention to who you are with, and being with a lauded actress like Elle is going to be seen as a positive by voters — a reality star, not so much."
