Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s latest podcast appearance is stirring controversy online, and not just because of what he said. The Health and Human Services Secretary joined Joe Rogan for a wide-ranging conversation that touched on agriculture policy, immigration, and the Trump administration. But the episode quickly became a lightning rod for criticism, especially after Joe Rogan himself has recently voiced frustrations about the president.

After the episode aired, Kennedy publicly expressed gratitude to Rogan, posting on X to thank the podcast host for the conversation. That’s when backlash began to build.

One social media user reshared the post and wrote, "So right after Joe Rogan said he was confused and disappointed with how Trump is handling the country, he turns around and invites this dumba-s on the podcast. These people are spineless and stand for nothing. Do not fall for their bullsh-t."

Another commenter wrote, “Seems like he is really running out of guests. Joe Rogan ALWAYS takes the money. ALWAYS,” suggesting the appearance was more about headlines than substance.

The reaction reflected a broader frustration among some listeners who believe Rogan has recently sent mixed signals about his political stance.

However, not all reactions were negative. Several fans pointed out Rogan’s history with Kennedy and argued that the conversation wasn’t unusual given their past relationship.

“RFK Jr. & Joe have been friends for YEARS,” one supporter noted. “Just because he might be disappointed with Trump on some things doesn't mean he is on everything. And he's friends with RFK Jr and he's had him on before.”

Others emphasized the importance of open dialogue, adding, “Conversations can happen with people you disagree with.”

RFK Jr. Admits He Was ‘Not Particularly Happy’ With Trump’s Glyphosate Order

During the interview, Kennedy addressed President Trump’s executive order related to glyphosate, the widely debated herbicide that has long been criticized by environmental and health advocates. “It’s not a good thing to have in your food so … it’s not something that I was particularly happy with. Let me put it that way, mildly,” Kennedy said.

However, he also acknowledged the complexity of the issue, adding, “But I also understand the president’s point of view. If you ban glyphosate overnight, or if you got rid of it … it would destroy the American food system.”

The comments marked a shift compared to his earlier public defense of the administration’s position. Previously, Kennedy had written, “I support President Trump’s Executive Order to bring agricultural chemical production back to the United States and end our near-total reliance on adversarial nations.”

Despite that support, Kennedy and members of the “Make America Healthy Again” movement have consistently criticized pesticide use, particularly glyphosate, creating tension between policy goals and political alliances.

Joe Rogan Raises Concerns About Immigration Enforcement

The episode also comes at a time when Rogan has increasingly criticized immigration enforcement tactics associated with the Trump administration, comments that have drawn attention given his past endorsement.

On a recent podcast episode, Rogan warned that immigration actions risk resembling authoritarian policing. “We shouldn't have militarized groups of people roaming the streets, just showing up with masks on, snatching people up,” he said.

He went further, questioning whether the country was heading toward extreme enforcement measures, asking, "Are we really going to be the Gestapo? Where's your papers? Is that what we've come to?"

Rogan also reacted strongly to the fatal shooting of Minneapolis mother Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent, calling it a "terrible tragedy" and saying, "It just seemed all kinds of wrong to me."

The conversation also touched on broader political issues, including the ongoing fallout surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein files. Rogan suggested the controversy could remain in the public eye for quite some time, calling the situation “weird” and questioning what information had actually been released. “I mean, they said they released them, but what did they release?” he said, expressing skepticism about the Justice Department’s handling of the documents.

During the discussion, Rogan also floated the idea that other major headlines might be diverting attention away from the Epstein story. Referencing immigration enforcement actions and recent national incidents, he speculated that the focus could be intentional. “I think some of that’s on purpose,” Rogan said quietly into the microphone.

His remarks came at a time of heightened scrutiny of immigration enforcement.
