According to footage circulating online, MGK immediately sensed something was off when one man approached him for an autograph. The musician challenged him directly, saying, “I don't believe you could name 3 of my songs.”

Rather than answering, the man responded, “I'm sure my daughter knows you,” prompting MGK to fire back, “Well, when your daughter comes, then I'll sign.”

The situation didn’t end there. MGK later returned to the group and appeared to recognize one of the men from earlier, asking, “Didn't I sign for you earlier?”

The man quickly replied, “To Leah, to Leah,” seemingly claiming the signature was for someone else this time.

MGK responded with a knowing smirk, replying, “Oh, okay,” before adding, “I signed for your sister; she was the one who named the songs earlier.”

The man denied that claim with “no no,” but by that point, others nearby had already started calling out the interaction, with someone heard yelling “fake fan, fake fan.”

Another added, “At least it's clear that he's @machinegunkelly intelligent and he won't be taken advantage of. People try to do that all the time. But he won't be, and that's a good thing. He's amazing.”

Others echoed similar frustrations about autograph resellers, with comments like “It’s insane people do this” and “I think these people are the reason why they give ridiculous prices for autographs. But it's good to see a re-seller get f-cked.”
