Jimmy Kimmel is once again making headlines after taking aim at Fox News and Donald Trump during a recent episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!." The late-night host didn’t hold back while reacting to coverage surrounding Hillary Clinton’s closed-door congressional deposition connected to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. What started as commentary on a news segment quickly turned into a broader political rant, with Jimmy Kimmel reminding viewers of Donald Trump’s felony conviction and reigniting their long-running feud.
Jimmy Kimmel Calls Fox News Clip ‘Bonkers’

During the show, Kimmel introduced a Fox News segment discussing Clinton’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating Epstein’s network and connections. "Congressman Pat Fallon from Texas was on Fox News. Listen to this, 'cause it's just it bonkers," Kimmel said before playing the clip.
In the segment, a Fox News anchor asked Fallon, "So, this has never been done before. And a former president's never been compelled to appear before Congress. Is this where this is all heading, as of today?"
Congressman Pat Fallon responded, "Well, we've never had a former president this close to a convicted felon. I mean, it's problematic."
Kimmel immediately fired back with his own correction, telling the audience, "We have our current president, who is a convicted felon. 34 times."
Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts related to falsifying business records in May 2024, becoming the first U.S. president in history to receive a felony conviction, but after winning the 2024 election, his sentencing was temporarily delayed before he ultimately received an unconditional discharge in January 2025.

Kimmel and Trump have traded public criticism for years, with tensions occasionally escalating beyond typical late-night jokes.
Last year, the conflict intensified after threats from FCC chair Brendan Carr, who was appointed during Trump’s presidency, following comments Kimmel made about a suspect in the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The controversy led to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" being temporarily pulled from ABC for about a week before returning to the air on September 23, 2025.
Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Trump’s State Of The Union As ‘Christmas Message From The Grinch’

More recently, Kimmel reignited headlines with a fiery monologue delivered immediately after Trump’s February 24, 2026, State of the Union address. On his show, the late-night host pointed out that Trump had “bragged about ending DEI” and “kicking two million people off food stamps,” before joking that the speech felt less presidential and more like a holiday villain moment. He compared it to a “Christmas message from the Grinch.”
Kimmel also questioned whether the remarks even qualified as a traditional address. “When you ramble mostly incoherently for two hours, is that technically still a speech or at some point does it become a conniption fit?” he asked.
Kimmel’s ‘Real State Of The Union’ Monologue Goes Viral

From there, he launched into what he described as the “real state of the union,” delivering a blistering critique of the administration.
“We have a nut job, wannabe king who’s doing everything he can to censor opinions he doesn’t want to hear,” he began. “He has his goons arresting, incarcerating, and killing American citizens. He’s gut funding for cancer research and children’s hospitals, while he rakes in literally billions of dollars for himself and his family.”
Jimmy Kimmel Accuses Trump Of ‘Protecting Pedophiles’ In Explosive Monologue

Kimmel went on to claim that the administration is also “coming after our right to vote,” tying his criticism to broader concerns about the country’s political direction.
“He’s protecting pedophiles and won’t explain it. He’s lining the pockets of billionaires all while neglecting the sick, the poor, the hungry,” Kimmel said. “In the name of Jesus, by the way, who you can read all about in a Donald Trump edition of the God Bless the U.S.A. Bible that is made in China and available for $99.99. That is the State of the Union.”
Tuesday’s address set a new record for the longest annual speech, surpassing the previous mark, which Trump himself had also held, by running approximately 107 minutes.
