Candace Owens has revealed the reason behind her ongoing scrutiny of the new Turning Point USA CEO, Erika Kirk.
The podcaster has been among the many who have closely examined the mother of two since the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk.
Candace Owens shared her rationale in her documentary, where she also highlights several discrepancies in Erika Kirk's childhood and introduces new conspiracy theories about the mother of two.
Candace Owens Reveals Why She Is Hell-Bent On Investigating Erika Kirk

Candace Owens has been critical of Erika Kirk since the death of Charlie Kirk, and that scrutiny has only intensified with the release of Owens' new documentary series, titled "Bride of Charlie."
Over the past few months, Owens has promoted a number of conspiracy theories about the mother of two, who took over Charlie's nonprofit, Turning Point USA, following his passing last year.
Some of these theories have been accompanied by leaked videos and document excerpts, all seemingly aimed at shaping a particular narrative about Erika. Even a sit-down meeting between the two did little to slow Owens' ongoing investigation into Erika's life.
Now, in her new documentary series "Bride of Charlie," Owens has explained why she remains fixated on Erika.
Owens claimed that "something is not right" with the Turning Point USA CEO, citing "wrinkles" in Erika's backstory that "bothered" her as the reason she continues to scrutinize the widow.
Candace Owens Questioned The Widow's Birthdate And Maternity

In the nearly 65-minute livestream, which has drawn close to 3 million views so far, Owens made several claims about Erika Kirk's childhood, including her birthdate and her maternity.
Owens alleged that Erika had lied about her age, sharing excerpts from the divorce filings of her parents, Kent and Lori, that listed the date as November 22, 1988, rather than November 20, the date Erika reportedly uses.
Regarding maternity, Owens suggested that the TPUSA CEO's aunt, Karla, may be Erika's biological mother. The claim was based on what Owens described as inconsistencies she uncovered while examining Erika's family tree, which once again contradicts Erika's stance that Kent and Lori are her parents.
Owens also went on to pick apart Erika's claim about being raised by a single mother after her parents split.
"I have spoken to classmates, past boyfriends, and people are generally bewildered about why Erika is now representing that she does not have a relationship with Kent," Owens stated in the documentary. "Also, if we remove Kent, Erika was raised with her stepfather [Larry] in her home."
Candace Owens Suggested Erika Kirk Has A 'Faulty Memory' That Makes Her Lie Compulsively

Arguably, the documentary's strongest assertion is Owens's repeated claim that Erika Kirk is a compulsive liar who does not even realize she is constantly fabricating stories.
"I will tell you my personal opinion and experience with her," Owens said. "What alarms me about Erika isn't so much the fact that she lies, which we will prove to you over and over again, but it's also the fact that I don't know that she's aware that she's lying."
Doubling down on her point, Owens appeared to suggest that Erika had poor judgment and was delusional enough to believe her own lies.
"The version [Erika is] telling us today or yesterday was just recently downloaded into her mind, and she therefore thinks it's true," the podcaster remarked.
"[It's] like a faulty memory or something," the podcaster further remarked. "I'm saying I'm not sure that she's fully aware that she's lying because some of the lies are so stupid."
Netizens Criticized Candace Owens Over The New Documentary

On social media, some netizens criticized Owens for going after Erika and slammed the new documentary.
"This is disgustingly evil," a person wrote, while another remarked, "turning a fresh widow and her kids into a true crime series title like Bride of Charlie feels off."
"I've watched all my attention span would allow. There's nothing of substance in any of it," a third person said.
They added, "There's a lot of conjecture and what feels like a lot of over-scrutinized aspects."
Ben Shapiro Calls Out Candace Owens For Making A Documentary About Erika Kirk

Meanwhile, right-wing political commentator Matt Walsh, and Candace's former boss at The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro, also criticized the podcaster.
"All you are doing is nitpicking a widow. It's like making fun of someone's nail polish as they drown," said Walsh.
Shapiro's remarks were even more intense as he described Owens as a "twisted human being" and a "true vampire."
