Sabrina Carpenter Has Fans Updating Their 'Wallpaper'

In the photo, Carpenter wears a black lace lingerie set paired with bright red heels, posing confidently against a simple background. Her blonde hair falls loosely around her shoulders, and her red lipstick adds a pop of color. Though the post came from a fan page rather than Carpenter herself, it didn’t slow engagement.

Carpenter Reflects On Being A Role Model For Young Women

While fans may obsess over her photos online, Carpenter has long been thoughtful about the platform she holds, especially when it comes to the young women watching her every move. Back in 2017, the singer and actress opened up about what it means to be viewed as a role model and how seriously she takes that responsibility.

“I think I’ve always been that person that just tries to make good decisions for myself, and if other people follow along, that’s their choice,” she said at the time. “But I always encourage everyone to be themselves. We all have our own voices, and that’s how all these women, being so different, have gotten to where they are by following their own voices and not listening to everybody else.”

Sabrina Carpenter Celebrates Women In Music And The Power Of Individual Voices

That same mindset has followed her throughout her career, especially when it comes to celebrating the women who have paved the way before her. Speaking about attending the Women in Music dinner and awards ceremony, Carpenter shared just how meaningful the moment was for her.

“Music and women are two of my favorite things, and two of my favorite words, and I’m so, so excited to be able to be in the presence of so many people that I look up to and that are my idols and obviously all the women that are behind the scenes and making all the incredible moves in music that keep us moving forward,” she said in the same interview in 2017.

Carpenter On Handling Pressure And Expectations

In another interview, the “Juno” singer got candid about the weight that can come with public attention, and how she manages it.

Rather than trying to live up to every outside expectation, Carpenter explained that the key is staying grounded in her own intentions. “I think that, you have to be doing it almost for yourself,” she shared. “I think so much of it is knowing you can’t please everybody, because I’m the type of person that wants to please everybody.”

She went on to acknowledge how easy it is to get caught up in criticism or pressure, especially in the spotlight. “At the end of the day, would you rather be a happy person or a miserable person?" she asked. "People make mistakes and you’re going to get through it, but also, make it as fun as you can and don’t take it too seriously. It truly is your job, but you should be having fun.”

Sabrina Carpenter Opens Up About Writing Freely On Sexuality And Growth

That same sense of self-awareness also shows up in her songwriting. Carpenter has previously described having “many different processes” when it comes to creating music, but she’s emphasized that lyrics and overall concepts usually come first. For her, the story always matters more than anything else.

As her music evolved, so did the themes she felt comfortable exploring. “When I started, you know, becoming more sexual as a person, I think it's just something that's a part of life. You want to write about it,” she said. “I didn't realize it was as taboo of a topic until I started writing about it more freely.”
