Will Smith's former friend, Bilaal Salaam, will definitely be seeing more of Jada Pinkett Smith!

The actor's former friend did not succeed in his petition for a restraining order against the media personality, with the judge finding the reasons insufficient.

Will Smith's former pal dragged Jada Pinkett Smith to court last year for allegedly threatening his life and embarking on a retaliatory smear campaign against him for refusing to participate in a PR cover-up of the actor's 2022 Oscar stunt against Chris Rock.

Salaam and Jada reportedly testified recently in court, leading to the restraining order case being thrown out. It was dismissed on the basis that he did not provide enough evidence to be granted a permanent restraining order to stop the actress from coming within 100 yards of him.

In his earlier filing, Salaam claimed he was harmed emotionally and mentally by Jada's alleged harassment from her continued threats and public false allegations. He noted that he has experienced extreme stress, anxiety, humiliation, and fear for his safety.

Salaam added that he even relocated from the country out of fear, and thus had become isolated from his family and support system for about two years now. As shared by TMZ, the actor's former pal reiterated in the filing that he was still suffering from sleeplessness, depression, and constant fear that he would be harmed.

In the actress's rebuttal in court, Jada noted that Salaam's claims conflicted with California's anti-SLAPP statute. As shared by The Blast, Jada explained that the statute provided a procedure for dismissal at an early age, even when false claims arose from protected activity.

Jada's motion noted that Salaam had voluntarily granted an interview to the media, claiming, despite the absence of evidence, that he had witnessed Will engage in intimate contact with another person.

The actress stressed that Salaam's claims were "false, uncorroborated, and made to generate attention as part of an ongoing public campaign of harassment directed at Defendant and her family."

Salaam had alleged that the actress launched a verbal attack on him during the musician's birthday party about 5 years ago. He recalled the "Girls Trip" actress confronting him in the lobby of Regency Calabasas Common, warning him to stop spreading lies about her.

The accuser noted that Jada became very verbally aggressive, warning that if he continued talking about her and her personal affairs, he would be greatly harmed in many ways.

As if that was not enough, Will's former pal added that someone from the actress's entourage also dropped a threat as he approached his car. In recent developments involving Jada and Will, sources close to them claim that the couple no longer resides together.

According to them, the couple is still involved in each other's lives and decision-making, but they no longer live together, although a divorce is not in the works yet.

Like Jada, Will also experienced law troubles of her own last year, when he was named in a sexual harassment lawsuit by Brian King Joseph, a professional violinist who performed on his 2025 "Based on a True Story" tour.

As stated by The Blast, Joseph claimed he began a professional relationship with Will after he played at his home in 2024 and was subsequently hired in December 2024 to join him on his full tour. They even took their relationship further when he performed on the "Based on a True Story" album.

They reportedly developed a closer relationship after this time, and during the first leg of their tour in Las Vegas, he claimed a certain someone entered his room unlawfully and basically tore the place down and left behind a note. "Brian, I'll be back no later 5:30, just us," accompanied by a heart and signed "Stone F," the cryptic note read.

Joseph added that the intruder left behind other items like wipes, a beer bottle, a red backpack, a bottle of HIV medication with another individual's name, an earring, and hospital discharge paperwork belonging to a strange person.

His discovery reportedly set off an alarm in his brain, which made him fear that someone would return to his room and engage in harmful sexual acts with him.

The 57-year-old had a court judge dismiss all claims against him, as cited in a case filed by Kissinger Sibanda. The author, Will, filed a $1.7 million lawsuit back in August 2024, alongside the production companies involved in bringing "Gemini Man" to life.

Sibanda claimed they plagiarized his science fiction novel "The Return to Gibraltar," which detailed a cloned African-American used in a time-traveling program without his consent.

According to Sibanda in his lawsuit, the film has had a troubled development history since 1997, when the original script was written. Since then, various actors have reportedly been considered for the lead role before Will ultimately took it on.

Sibanda then claimed he had given a copy of the book to the actor's stunt double and had sent copies to popular talent agents, only for them to change the film's marketing strategy, themes, plots, and everything else for "Gemini Man."
