As talk of a "Total Divas" reboot swirls and the Bella Twins reinsert themselves into WWE conversations, Nikki Bella is also making it clear she’s paying close attention to what today’s roster is bringing to the table.

The multiple-time champion and WWE Hall of Famer recently reflected on just how far the women’s division has evolved, and she didn’t hold back her praise. “The athletic ability is just through the roof. They are doing some of the same type of matches the men are. Like, beyond being in a cage. It's with tables and ladders, and it's the movement and the storytelling and what they do,” she told "TODAY" in July.

Nikki Bella’s praise for the current roster feels even more meaningful given the difficult circumstances that ultimately led her to step away from the ring. In 2019, the former Divas Champion officially retired from in-ring competition after ongoing neck issues made it clear her body could no longer withstand the demands of WWE.

Doctors had previously discovered a cyst on her brain during treatment for a herniated disc, and while she was able to return briefly after neck surgery, she ultimately chose long-term health over continuing her career.
