Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s daughter Monroe, 10 is making her own money now. She has landed her first modeling gig with kid’s clothing brand OshKosh B’gosh. The back-to-school campaign features the sweet-faced Monroe modeling one special look. She is a natural while acting for and posing for the camera unbothered and embracing the spotlight. Along with the snaps is a campaign video that features the mini-me playing a 10-year-old version of her superstar mother.
Just Like Mommy
In the campaign video, Monroe takes on the role of her mom at the age of 10 manifesting her dreams of superstardom. “Someday it’s going to be different,” say’s Monroe in a voice-over. “The melodies that live in my head… Someday they’ll live at the top of the charts. The songs in My heart will touch millions of hearts. Artist of the year, artist of the decade, artist of the millennium. But the meaning is in inspiring generations of little girls to hit their high note. How’s that for a daydream?” The adorable campaign made mama proud and she gushed about daughter, Monroe and son Rocco and being able to watch them grow to ET.
Proud Parents
“As a mother, it brings me so much joy to see my children visualize and develop the dreams they hold in their own hearts,” said Carey who was hands on in choosing the first piece of work her daughter is presenting to the world. “We did the campaign because we love the message of empowering kids to dream boldly and blaze their own path.” While Carey and Cannon are no longer a couple, the two make sure to nurture their children’s artistic side and they are allegedly “fully supportive” of their children’s intentions to pursue careers in entertainment. “Mariah and Nick know their kids are really talented and just want them to be happy, so if singing makes them happy, they totally support it,” shared an insider with Hollywoodlife.com.
Social Media Famous
Carey regularly shares TikTok videos of she and her children participating in challenges. She and Monroe sang and danced to “Save The Day” to encourage people to get out and vote. While promoting her book, Carey featured son Rocco reading a copy of her autobiography The Meaning Of Mariah Carey. Unlike most celebrities who prefer to keep their children out of the spotlight, the parents realized their kids were old enough to make that decision for themselves at this point. Plus, how can they not want to be entertainers with parents like Cannon and Carey?

Pays Homage To Mariah
The campaign that is appropriately titled the “Some Day Campaign” features Roe in a dark t-shirt and blue overalls. The look is meant to pay homage to Carey’s 1990 music video for her single “Someday” where the young girl in that video also wears the same outfit and sports the same big, beautiful, curls. The video that Carey had a lot of input on features a few subliminal messages like her daughter being amazed by a butterfly that lands on her finger. Carey’s sixth album was titled Butterfly. The voice over lists a bevy of the awards Carey has won during her decades long career as Monroe mimics her mother singing in a mirror with one finger in her ear. “How’s that for a daydream,” asks Monroe as the butterfly takes flight and the video ends another title of one of her mother’s songs. Proud parents indeed!
