Shia LaBeouf’s recent Mardi Gras arrest may not have been an isolated incident. Newly surfaced police records reveal law enforcement had previously been called to a New Orleans residence connected to the former Disney Channel star weeks before the bar fight that ultimately led to criminal charges. The documents detail a separate alleged altercation involving an unnamed man and his ex-girlfriend, adding more drama to the timeline surrounding LaBeouf’s legal troubles in Louisiana. Shia LaBeouf is now facing court proceedings tied to his Fat Tuesday arrest, which reportedly involved an altercation outside a bar that escalated into violence before police intervened.
Police Responded To Alleged Incident At Shia LaBeouf’s Home Weeks Before Arrest

According to police records, officers responded to a call for service in early February at a New Orleans home associated with the former Disney Channel star. The report described an alleged confrontation between a man and his former girlfriend that took place late at night after the ex-partner allegedly entered the residence uninvited.
Authorities noted that the man told officers he attempted to separate the two women when the situation escalated. He claimed his ex struck him in the groin, causing visible discomfort, though he later declined medical attention and said he was not seriously injured.
The report also indicated the man expressed concerns about his ex’s past behavior, telling officers she had previously been arrested for stabbing someone and had allegedly made threats during prior interactions. Police documentation states that an arrest warrant was issued for the woman following the incident.

Shia LaBeouf's legal issues intensified days later when he was arrested in New Orleans following an incident outside a bar in the Marigny neighborhood on Mardi Gras Day.
Police reports claim the actor became aggressive after being asked to leave a Royal Street establishment. Once outside, he allegedly struck two individuals, prompting a physical confrontation that drew attention from bystanders. Meanwhile, video footage from the scene reportedly showed LaBeouf removing his shirt, pushing a man, and throwing punches while onlookers urged him to stop. Witnesses eventually restrained him until officers arrived.
He was later charged with two counts of simple battery.
Court Dates Scheduled As Shia LaBeouf Faces Charges

Court records show the former Disney Channel star is expected to appear in Orleans Criminal Court in connection with the incident. In addition to his upcoming hearing, another court date has reportedly been scheduled for mid-March.
Following his arrest, the actor was released on his own recognizance, meaning he did not have to post bond, though a judge imposed specific conditions tied to his release.
LaBeouf Returned To Bourbon Street After Release

As previously reported by The Blast, Shia LaBeouf appeared unfazed by his arrest in the immediate aftermath, stepping back into New Orleans nightlife shortly after being released from police custody.
However, the following day brought a noticeably different tone. The actor was seen out for a run before stopping at two Catholic churches, St. Francis of Assisi and St. Stephen, likely to observe Ash Wednesday. Despite the apparent spiritual intentions, both locations were closed when he arrived.
He also appeared to address the situation on social media, posting “Free me” on X after the incident.
Shia LaBeouf’s Personal Life Draws Attention Amid Legal Drama

The recent headlines surrounding Shia LaBeouf have also unfolded alongside developments in his personal life. Reports previously indicated that he and his longtime wife, Mia Goth, had quietly gone their separate ways sometime last year. After the split, LaBeouf reportedly left Los Angeles and moved to New Orleans in December, where he purchased a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom cottage in the Uptown neighborhood for just over $1 million.
The Blast also reported that the "Even Stevens" actor appeared to be reentering the dating scene just days after the New Orleans bar altercation, further fueling public curiosity about what has been a turbulent period for the star, both legally and personally.
