Adriana Lima Wrapped In Only A Towel Told ‘She Is Not Beautiful At All’

Brazilian model and longest-running Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima currently has only about six posts on her Instagram from this year, and they’ve all been very iconic.

Her latest upload, with over 270,000 likes, was a nine-photo carousel she captioned, “February in LA.” Naturally, fans flooded the comments section with admiration for the model. One user, however, stood out by going against the overwhelmingly positive reactions.

The opening photo was a captivating shot of Adriana Lima in a minimalist bedroom, wrapped in nothing but a medium-sized white towel as she sat on a canopy bed holding a gray mug.

Her face looked bare, with long brunette hair cascading down her back as she maintained a straight face, looking at something outside the frame. She looked like she just stepped out of the shower and sat for a quick cup of coffee.

In another slide, Adriana Lima maintained the same pose on the bed, but had the mug closer to her lips for a sip. This time, she looked straight into the camera with an intensity that pulled attention.

Fans showered the supermodel with compliments, urging her to share more photo dumps. One fan hailed her as “the greatest angel ever,” while some reacted with Gifs and stickers of her iconic runway moments.

Another admirer described her as “divinely gorgeous,” but someone else had a contrary opinion. The troll wrote, “She is not beautiful at all. I am surprised by those people who think she is beautiful.” The commenter went on to explain they like “curvy figures,” claiming Lima “looks like a board.”

Aside from a handful of supporters, most fans ignored the criticism, opting instead to celebrate the model’s timeless appeal.

For Valentine’s Day, Adriana Lima took fans back to 2006 with a picture from her GQ Magazine shoot, photographed by Steven Klein.

The image showed a 24-year-old Lima posed in the desert, hair tousled with a distant expression. She covered her bare chest with a vintage Versace leather jacket and paired it with a bikini bottom, partially hidden from view.

“A Valentine from the vault,” she captioned the post. Passionate fans filled the comments with compliments like “Extremely elegant,” “F-cking goddess,” and “Diva.” One user even credited Lima for inspiring them to pursue a career in modeling.

Adriana Lima began modeling at the age of 13 in Brazil, winning Ford’s “Supermodel of Brazil” competition at 15. By 16, she had relocated to New York and made her runway debut during “New York Fashion Week.”

She first walked for Victoria’s Secret in 1999 at age 17, and officially became a VS Angel the following year. From 2000 to 2018, she dominated as an Angel, making her the longest-running VS Angel in history.

Even after stepping away from full-time Angel duties, her relationship with the brand continues. Earlier this month, she joined Candice Swanepoel and a few other models to front a new Victoria’s Secret collection.

During the 2025 “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” Adriana Lima made a celebrated runway return, marking her 20th appearance for the brand.

As one of the iconic former Angels, she walked in not one but two showstopping looks, drawing attention for her commanding presence at 44. One look featured a sheer sparkly bodysuit paired with gold wings, while the other was a black lingerie set with silver wings.

On the post she shared celebrating her two decades run, fans congratulated and crowned her once again, “The greatest Angel of all time.”
