Robert told Mary that when he first began experimenting with drugs, he thought he'd only stick to "natural stuff." That changed, however, when he went to a party, and someone gave him other drugs.
"Then, I started doing Xanax with Acid, and then Molly with Xanax. I really like Xana,x so I mix it with everything. Xanax and cocaine. You know the regular 30mg Oxys? I noticed … this was, like, a turning point for me. I was taking 10 at once, and I couldn't even feel it," he said.

"I don't believe in judging people. I'm just not a judger. I don't like judging people, and I don't like to do it. … If he's opening up enough to tell me something this crucial, then why would I judge? I have no choice but to sit there and receive it and accept it and hope that I can help him," she said.

Robert Cosby Was Previously In Jail

According to Page Six, Robert was recently released from jail in early February 2026 after spending two months behind bars.
Robert was reportedly arrested in November 2025 after appearing at his ex-wife's home and violating a protective order. Before that, Robert was arrested in September 2025 after allegedly trying to enter his ex-wife's residence through a dog door and later attacking her father and an officer.
Robert's lawyer, Clayton Simms, previously said the 23-year-old's time in jail was a "blessing."
"It allowed him to sober up and start thinking clearly. He's looking forward to doing positive things. The difficulty is that he was slow to recognize the dissolution of his marriage. But now he understands the relationship is over, and he's moving forward," he said.
