Eminem's Ex Kim Scott Appears Disoriented In Newly Released Arrest Video

Newly released bodycam footage is shedding light on the moments leading up to the arrest of Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott, after an alleged crash involving her vehicle earlier this month. Scott, who shares daughter Hailie Jade with the rapper, was taken into custody in Michigan and now faces multiple charges tied to the incident. The footage captures her speaking with officers outside her home, offering her version of what happened before she was ultimately placed in handcuffs. The incident has drawn renewed attention to Kim Scott’s personal struggles and her long-standing connection to the Grammy-winning artist.

Scott was arrested by the Chesterfield Police Department on February 16 after allegedly crashing her Range Rover. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, she faces charges including operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop or identify after causing property damage.

In the footage, Scott is seen wearing a tank top and jeans while speaking with officers outside a residence. She told police another vehicle forced her into the situation. According to Scott, a driver in a “little blue car” swerved into her lane, leaving her with what she described as no room to maneuver, which resulted in her vehicle hitting a pickup truck.

“I didn't see the pickup truck, but I felt the impact and my car felt the impact,” Scott told police. And when officers asked whether she had consumed alcohol or narcotics, Scott responded, “No.”

Police also questioned Scott about additional damage to her property, pointing out that her vehicle appeared to have struck her garage door. Scott told officers she had been distracted by the “screaming and yelling” children inside the SUV, who believed they were being followed.

When asked about alcohol consumption, she later told officers she had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening. “An hour, two hours, maybe three hours ago.”

During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly located alcohol. In another portion of the footage, Scott is seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt as she submits to a preliminary breath test before being placed in handcuffs. At that point, she asked officers to notify her family about what was happening.

Sources told TMZ that the alleged incident began around 8 p.m. when Scott left her home with her teenage son, Parker, and three of his friends. The group had reportedly planned to go shopping before the trip was interrupted by the crash.

According to reports, Scott allegedly struck a parked vehicle and continued driving rather than stopping. She then returned home, where another collision allegedly occurred when she pulled into her driveway and hit her garage door. Photos obtained by TMZ showed a white Range Rover with visible damage, including a smashed passenger-side headlight and bumper damage, along with a partially collapsed garage door.

A neighbor who reportedly witnessed the crash contacted authorities.

After officers arrived, Scott was reportedly transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. She was later discharged early the following morning.

Details about her condition have not been publicly disclosed.

Scott’s attorney, Michael Smith, told TMZ that Kim is “a good person, a beautiful human being,” and characterizing the situation as unfortunate.

Scott has remained connected to Eminem in the public eye for decades due to their highly publicized relationship. The pair married in 1999, divorced in 2001, briefly remarried in 2006, and share a daughter, Hailie Jade.

Their relationship was famously referenced in Eminem’s music, including the 2000 track “Kim” from "The Marshall Mathers LP," which depicted a dark and volatile portrayal of their dynamic.

Following their second divorce, Scott largely stepped away from public attention but has previously spoken about struggles with depression and substance abuse, challenges that have remained part of her personal narrative over the years.
