A discovery of two black gloves a mile from missing Tucson resident Nancy Guthrie's home has prompted a sheriff's investigation.

The discovery comes as authorities continue searching for the 84-year-old, who vanished on January 31.

Meanwhile, TMZ founder Harvey Levin revealed the outlet received a second, more detailed cryptocurrency ransom demand allegedly tied to the case.

An Arizona couple says they found what appeared to be blood-stained gloves and a rock marked with a dried droplet of blood in the desert near the home of missing Tucson resident Nancy Guthrie.

The pair, who requested anonymity, told local outlet KVOA that they came across the items on February 11 while walking off Campbell Avenue in the Catalina Foothills, roughly a mile from the 84-year-old's residence. The gloves, both black, were reportedly lying about 10 feet apart.

According to the couple, one glove appeared to be torn and had what seemed to be dark, reddish stains near the wrist area and along the index finger.

"It didn't just look like a regular glove. It looked like this was a glove used for something that could've possibly been what they were looking for," the woman said, per the New York Post.

The second glove was resting on a rock that appeared to have a dried blood spot beneath it. Concerned they might be disrupting potential evidence, the couple said they avoided touching anything. Instead, they photographed the scene and contacted the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded, questioned the couple, and secured the area. Authorities reportedly remained at the location into the early morning hours as part of their investigation.

Law enforcement officials have been searching for Nancy since she was reported missing on January 31.

Investigators previously confirmed that multiple gloves had been recovered in the surrounding neighborhood, with one being a visual match with the gloves worn by the unidentified armed and masked individual seen outside Nancy's home on the morning she disappeared, thanks for her doorbell camera footage.

The sheriff's department has not confirmed whether the newly discovered gloves are among those collected for forensic testing. Officials stated that several gloves have been submitted for analysis, but declined to share further details as the investigation continues.

Earlier reports indicated that DNA recovered from other gloves did not match profiles in the FBI's database. Authorities also said that DNA found on a key glove differed from genetic material recovered inside Guthrie's residence.

As of now, no suspects or persons of interest have been publicly identified in connection with Guthrie's disappearance. The search effort remains ongoing.

Second Crypto Ransom Note In Nancy Guthrie Case Deemed 'More Graphic'

Meanwhile, Harvey Levin, the founder of TMZ, has provided new details about another ransom message that is purportedly connected to Nancy's disappearance.

The outlet reportedly received the new ransom demand on Wednesday, February 18, calling for millions of dollars in cryptocurrency.

Unlike the initial message sent earlier in February, which requested Bitcoin, this latest communication sought payment in a different form of digital currency.

The FBI has not confirmed whether the ransom notes sent to the publication and two Tucson-based news organizations are legitimate or connected to Nancy's disappearance. Authorities have yet to verify the authenticity of the messages.

During an appearance Wednesday night on Erin Burnett OutFront on CNN, Levin, 75, described the newest message as even "more graphic and chilling" than the first.

"It is a really sophisticated note. I had to get someone to help translate it for me. It involves a demand for crypto — not Bitcoin," he said.

The New Note In The Nancy Guthrie Case Involves A Complex Setup

Levin added that the second message lays out more detailed conditions than the earlier one.

According to him, the payment instructions involve a complex setup in which certain actions would automatically trigger the transfer of funds.

He also suggested the plan references media coverage, implying that specific reporting could activate parts of the scheme.

"But it's a very sophisticated way of doing it where one thing triggers another, [which] triggers another. It's beyond my level of knowledge," he explained.

The financial demand, he noted, is roughly equivalent to the $6 million requested in the first ransom note.

The Latest Ransome Note Had A Graphic Description Of 'The Consequences' If Demands Were Not Met

Levin further described the tone of the latest message as more explicit and unsettling, particularly in how it "graphically describes the consequences if they're not paid."

When asked whether the note provided proof that Nancy is alive or contained insider details about the suspected abduction from her home, Levin said the message stops short of directly confirming anything.

Still, he suggested it implies knowledge of the situation by referencing potential outcomes.
