The American businessman devised a crafty way to bring those who have been moving money from his treasured chest to book, and the discoveries from that process are equally shocking.

Michael Rubin's Hollywood mansion has witnessed several poignant moments since he occupied the property, including welcoming celebrity guests during his annual White Party, which has now been cancelled.

The socialite finally uncovered his home thief, and it was none other than one of his housekeepers who was allegedly moving wads of cash from his safe and had been doing that for about a year.

Although Rubin noticed his money going missing at one point, the theft still continued, forcing his security to install a hidden camera inside the safe. The decision proved helpful as they were able to catch the housekeeper in action, carting away a whopping $20,000 from the safe.

Officers were promptly called to the scene, and she was arrested, after which it was discovered that she had stolen $130,000 in total. As noted by TMZ, the housekeeper explained that she got access to the safe with a backup key entry.

The whole show reportedly happened in Rubin's absence as he was away hosting several events for the NBA All-Star weekend.

In 2023, Real Estate shared that Rubin's multi-million-dollar home in the Hamptons hosted several celebrities like Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Usher, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Tom Brady, Jack Harlow, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, and others. 

Aside from the July 4, 2023, party, he also often threw several get-togethers where people across industries met and broke bread. Rubin is not just famous for these high-end events; he is also a serious businessman who was previously the co-owner of the NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers.

Rubin purchased the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in 2020 for an off-market deal of $50 million. The home underwent serious reconstruction since the businessman acquired it, including the exterior being reconstructed into a more contemporary-style residence, upgrading it to a white modern look.

The property stands proudly on about two acres of land with an oceanfront view on one side and a view of Mecox Bay on the other side. It features a pool, spa, sauna, tennis court, and upper-level deck for al fresco dining. There is also a separate viewing deck with a jacuzzi.

The company founder has thrown parties in his home every year since 2021, but last year, things took a drastic turn, with sources noting that he pulled the plug on celebrating any exclusive parties at his home moving forward.

As shared by The Blast, Rubin's decision reportedly stemmed from scandals that surrounded Diddy, who also often threw parties at his home involving a similar circle of attendees. In the words of an insider:

"Diddy White Parties have given the theme such a bad stigma after everything that came out this past year."

Other sources also revealed that the businessman is pivoting into organizing more charitable events, as he feels the annual white party could not get any bigger than it has already become. The race of getting invited had also gotten completely out of control, and Rubin just wants to focus on the Reform charity event.

For his exclusive guest list, the businessman reportedly makes his invitees feel like royalty by giving them personalized invites, hand-painted by Rubin's close pal, artist George Condo.

Any attendee on the list who is not as famous as Rubin's celebrity friends on the 300-person guest list was often provided with custom black-and-white invitations, which are often valued at $35,000.

As for Diddy, he started his all-white party way earlier than Rubin, although it abruptly stopped in 2009.  His extravagant parties, which often gulped as much as $500,000, also featured freak-offs where multiple women engaged in sexual acts with male escorts.

Sources shared that the rapper was often willing to pay any amount to make sure his parties remained the talk of the town and his guests would have a great time. The parties also had a dark side to it, as it was reportedly often marked with instances of violence, usually perpetrated by the rapper towards female victims.

Aside from throwing these expensive parties and organizing events across Hollywood, the billionaire is also known for showing off his kids online at every chance he gets.

He shares his eldest daughter, Kylie, with ex-wife Meegan Spector, andhe is also the father of Romy and shares Gema, his third daughter, with his girlfriend Camille Fishel.

As shared by Hello Magazine, Rubin holds a reputation for being so protective of his kids, and he lived up to it when he bought an army tank for Kylie for her sweet sixteen birthday party. He raved about how much of a good daughter she was on her 18th birthday.

As for his second and third daughters, the businessman welcomed them in 2020 and 2022, respectively.  He raved about Gema inheriting his partner’s looks and personality.
