During the February 19 episode of "The View," Chrisley, who served as a guest co-host on the show, voiced support for Trump.
Whoopi Goldberg noted that despite it being Black History Month, Trump is sending “mixed messages” about DEI initiatives after a judge’s order to restore the slavery exhibit to Independence National Historical Park.
Goldberg then noted that instead, Trump “touted” his relationship with the Black community.
Opposing the notion, Savannah defended the president for his rants, saying, “What’s so hard for me to witness is people stating that the president is a racist, because I’ve seen him firsthand.”
Sunny Hostin immediately disagreed with her, saying, “He is racist,” but Savannah continued, saying, “He saved one of my best friends' lives. A Black woman who has been with him for 18 years.”
Despite that, Hostin stood firm, saying, “So he has a Black friend. He’s a racist.” Goldberg then stepped into the conversation, pointing out many of Trump’s racist actions, including the post he shared that depicted the Obamas as monkeys.
“When you share racist posts about the Obamas. When you pursue the death penalty for the exonerated five, after you knew they had been exonerated. These are the reasons that his behavior is so hard,” she noted.
Fans React To Savannah Chrisley’s Statements

Savannah’s statements didn’t go down well with fans online, who accused her of sucking up to Trump.
“Savannah is auditioning for the White House press secretary ... and how much did she have to pay for the pardon of her parents with their stolen money?” One fan wrote.
Another fan slammed, “Please get rid of Savannah. She does fit in with the rest of the women on The View, and you can clearly tell she’s a Trump supporter.”
Similarly, other fans applauded the hosts of The View for responding to Savannah the way they did. One commenter called her a “true MAGA,” and another fan advised the hosts of the talk show never to bring her back on the show because her parents are “fraudsters.”
Savannah Chrisley Was Excited To Go On The Talk Show

Before Savannah appeared on "The View," she expressed excitement to go on the show because she wanted to do things that challenge and educate her at the same time.
According to The Blast, the influencer explained that she was aware of how much the show’s hosts have “bashed” her and her family.
As such, she knew that she was stepping out of her comfort zone by agreeing to go on the show.
Savannah Chrisley Doesn’t Feel Like She Owes Trump Anything

Long before Savannah revealed her intentions to go on “The View,” she made it clear that, despite the presidential pardon Trump granted her parents, she doesn’t feel indebted to him.
During an interview, she noted that there was never a conversation about owing Trump allegiance because of what he did for her parents.
Instead, she slammed the narratives as “funny” and insisted that she doesn’t have any obligation to side with him on certain issues.
As reported by The Blast, Savannah made it clear that she would remain outspoken about her beliefs. She also noted that although she agrees with some of the president's views, she still opposes others.
Savannah Chrisley Was Overjoyed When Donald Trump Won The Elections

Despite making it clear that she didn’t owe Trump anything, Savannah also admitted that she breathed a huge sigh of relief when he won the election.
She recalls watching the election results with her brother and getting emotional when she saw that Trump had won.
Similarly, her father, Todd, also recalled watching the elections from prison and feeling so many positive emotions.
“We were all glued to the television. When they finally announced that he was the winner, everyone there started screaming and yelling because they knew, they felt in their spirit that if President Trump wins this election, there's hope for all of us,” he said, per The Blast.
