Crystal Kung Minkoff Recalls Confronting A 'Shocked' Garcelle Beauvais After Dramatic 'RHOBH' Feud

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum Crystal Kung Minkoff is finally breaking her silence on a hidden confrontation with Garcelle Beauvais that never made it to air.

Minkoff spent three years on "RHOBH" and bumped heads with several of the show's marquee players, including Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, and Sutton Stracke.

On an episode of her "Humble Brag" podcast, Minkoff told her co-host, Cynthia Bailey, that after leaving the series, she wasn't open to publicly discussing things that didn't air on the series.

"For the last three years, I have felt like I couldn’t talk about things that happened on the show in Beverly Hills that didn’t air," she said. "I don't know why. I felt kind of paralyzed by it."

Minkoff has since had a change of heart, vividly recounting a specific clash with Beauvais that took place during a cast trip to Ojai, California.

"I had a conversation with Garcelle, and I had it on camera, and they did not air it. It was my last season," she said. "I have always felt that I defended her, and yes, I just felt like she threw me under the bus. I said to her, ‘I cannot move forward in our friendship unless you understand what I went through, and I just don’t really trust you.'"

While Minkoff didn't get into the specifics, the reality star shared that Beauvais was "really shocked" during their conversation.

However, Minkoff confirmed they had later moved past their problems.

"She apologized, and she said, ‘I had no idea, but I’m really sorry I did that to you,'" Minkoff shared. "The audience never saw that, and I think it was really important to."

Bailey seconded those frustrations, noting the uphill battle of trying to explain a storyline that the cameras ultimately left on the cutting room floor.

"It’s really confusing when people don’t know the whole story, and we have no control over editing," Bailey said. "When things are shown, and you don’t have the full context … it’s kind of hard to defend what they didn’t see."

While fans were kept in the dark regarding their evolving relationship, Minkoff felt it was time to credit Beauvais for being a supportive friend during that period.

"It’s a relief for both parties because it was such a great moment," she said. "The end was so cathartic. I wish it aired for the lessons it had in it. My relief from what happened with us happened years ago, but the world didn’t know. It was a really important moment, and that’s why I’ve been friends with her since."

While Minkoff left the reality series in March 2024, Beauvais departed a year later, according to The Blast.

Following a whirlwind five-year run, the "Coming to America" star announced her departure, pivoting her focus toward several upcoming development projects.

During her statement, Beauvais also mentioned wanting to spend quality time with her children before they left for college.

"One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys," the actress said. "Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that. And Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that, too. And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in, I can’t tell you anything now, but you’ll know soon."

Beauvais's exit from the series surprised many, from Andy Cohen to acting legends, including Jon Hamm.

Hamm, a longtime industry colleague of Beauvais, weighed in on the move, according to The Blast.

"I'm not surprised," he said. "I think that there's something to be said for wanting to spend more time with your kids while they're going through their version of major shift in life and school and career. I get it."

But could Beauvais return to the series in the future? According to her, Cohen told the "Survival of the Thickest" actress that she "can come back anytime."

"So, you never know," she added. "I might pop back in sometime."
