“We wanted it to feel playful, but also a little unreal,” Sofey said. “You see two girls in bright dresses, you see the glass, you see the water under our feet, and for a second it looks impossible. That is how my life feels most days. A year ago I stared at a car ceiling and counted every dollar. Now I am filming in a house with a glass floor and people all over the world watch it on their phones. That contrast is what I think about every time I replay that video.”

Her rise from sleeping in her car to owning a $2.6 million mansion in Miami unfolded in less than a year. The transformation, she says, was fueled by persistence, even when it cost her stability at home.

“I had to pick between a roof over my head or staying true to myself,” Sofey shared. “Leaving was terrifying. I was scared every single night because I did not know where I was going to sleep or how I was going to explain my choices to people I loved. But I also knew I was not going to quit on something that gave me freedom and independence. I believed if I stayed consistent and worked harder than anyone expected, I could build a life that no one could take away from me.”

While the video felt spontaneous, Sofey insists it was anything but accidental.

“We tested where the light hit the pool, how our shadows moved, where the camera should sit,” she said. “I wanted people to see the reflections and think, wait, are they about to fall in.
