Friends of Savannah Guthrie have raised concerns over her mental state following her mother's disappearance.
Nancy Guthrie was reportedly abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, late last month, and her whereabouts remain unknown till now.
Savannah has since made a number of appeals for information concerning her whereabouts, with the latest including a plea to her mother's abductors to have a change of heart.

In the wake of Nancy Guthrie's abduction, her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, has led the public appeal to locate her elderly mother.
She and her siblings have released several videos, including a recent one in which the "Today" show co-anchor directly appealed to her mother's abductors for a change of heart.
While it remains unclear whether the emotional plea had any impact on the abductors, one of Savannah's friends described the footage as "profoundly disturbing."
She also hinted that it was a telltale sign that the journalist is becoming increasingly overwhelmed by the emotional toll of the kidnapping.
"She looks devastated. She looks like she's struggling. She can't be doing well," the source told Page Six. "Anyone who knows her is obviously so worried about her."
Another friend echoed the sentiment, saying that "it looked like the light has gone out of her eyes," in reference to the emotional video shared by Savannah.
Savannah Says She Still Has 'Hope' Her Mother Will Be Found

Savannah shared the plea video on Sunday night, which began with a statement about how long her mother has been missing.
"It's been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope, and we still believe," the "Today" show co-anchor said in the footage taken outdoors.
She added, "I wanted to say to whoever has her, or knows where she is, that it's never too late. And you're not lost or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing, and we are here."
A heartbroken Savannah also said she believes in the "essential goodness of every human being," in a bid to further appeal to her mother's abductor to set her free.
Celebrities Commented On Savannah Guthrie's Tearful Plea Video

Since the video was uploaded, it has garnered more than 40,000 comments, including reactions from several high-profile individuals.
"Arms around you and prayers in abundance," said actress Viola Davis.
"Aching for you and seeing the pain in your beautiful eyes makes me so sad- sending love to you all," wrote author Jill Kargman.
"Holding you + your family in my thoughts, sweet Savannah. imagining a protective light around your mom," added American activist Monica Lewinsky.
The 'Today' Co-Anchor Also Received Support From Fans

Several netizens also told Savannah they were hopeful for her mother's safe return and said they were praying for a positive outcome.
"We believe, and we are with you, your family, and most of all, Nancy, one concerned netizen commented.
"We are praying continuously. You are in our hearts constantly. We love you, Savannah," another user noted.
"The country continues praying for your mom, you, and your family, Savannah. They say it takes a village. You have more than a village…you have an entire nation," yet another netizen remarked.
One more wrote, "Heartbroken for you, Savannah, and your family. Praying endlessly for your mom's safe return."
A Concerned Citizen Launched A GoFundMe To Help With The Investigation

In a bid to help the investigation into Guthrie's disappearance, a concerned citizen named Shawn Breeden recently launched a GoFundMe.
Breeden, who lives in Tucson, just like Guthrie, is attempting to raise $65,000, and detailed on the page how the money will help the Guthries find answers.
"All funds raised will go directly to the Guthrie family for the purchase of bitcoin, with the goal of obtaining information that could help locate Nancy," Breeden wrote.
"Any additional funds that remain after this effort may be donated to the FBI or Police department to help recoup resources spent on the ongoing search," he added, per The Blast.
As of now, nearly $1000 has been raised, with $50 coming from Breeden himself. He has also encouraged the public to donate whatever amount they are able to give, whether large or small.
In the meantime, the GoFundMe has yet to be confirmed by the Guthrie family since it was launched.
