The POTUS is positive the kidnappers of the reporter's mother will be apprehended, and when they are, the consequences of their action will be grave.

Savannah Guthrie's mom has now spent over two weeks with her abductors, who have since demanded a ransom payment after she was picked up from her home in Arizona in the early hours of February 1.

The President declared today that those responsible for abducting Nancy had better release her unharmed or the most severe consequences await them. During his phone interview with The Post, he voiced his intention to approach the Department of Justice to seek the death penalty if Nancy were returned dead.

He reiterated that the kidnappers will face very severe federal consequences if they kill her after forcefully taking her from her Tucson residence. Trump's involvement in the case began on February 4 when he offered to provide federal assistance in the case, assuring all law enforcement agents to get on deck and bring her back home.

As shared by The New York Post, federal agents have launched search flights above the desert region in Arizona with a high-tech Bluetooth device, hoping to catch any signal from Nancy's pacemaker.

Although Arizona currently has the death penalty, many of the 109 inmates who have been placed on the state's death row have reportedly been there for decades.

Since 2022, the state of Arizona has carried out two executions due to an almost two-year ban by the Democrat-led state government, which was eventually lifted in 2024.

The federal government can also seek capital punishment in complex cases like those involving Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Pittsburgh synagogue shooter Robert Bowers, and racist mass murderer Dylann Roof.

Former President Joe Biden had commuted the death sentences of 37 out of the 40 men on federal death row. However, the Trump administration has planned to move the remaining cases to a federal supermax prison to serve out their penalties in extreme conditions.

Shortly after Trump's initial statement on the Nancy situation on February 5, followed by promises to deploy all available resources to bring the Octogenarian home, the White House also followed up.

According to The Blast, the White House Instagram page uploaded a post about Nancy, declaring that anyone with valuable information to locate the reporter's mom should come forward.

Reacting to the efforts of the President and the Oval Office, Savannah extended her heartfelt gratitude, thanking them for rendering help, while thanking the public for their support. Savannah and her siblings emphasized their desperation to see Nancy back home safe and sound.

They described her as full of positive energy and a good servant with deep convictions to hold on to the joys of life despite passing through trials and troubles.

Several theories have trailed the news of Nancy's kidnapping, and one insider in particular has told local TV outlet Arizona's Family that investigators have linked the kidnapping to a botched burglary.

According to The Blast, the Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos poked holes into the story, insisting that the information shared by the source greatly contrasted the conclusion reached by the investigation team.

Nanos added that even if it was one of the many possibilities, the Sheriff department will never speculate on such a thing, and they would let evidence lead the agents to the motive.

Another insider claimed that homes are typically not broken into at the time of the day when Nancy was taken. An investigative source also corroborated that narrative, explaining that the team found no evidence that the octogenarian kept valuable items at home.

The media personality hopped on Instagram on Sunday to share another candid video, this time directing words to the kidnappers. She stressed that it has been more than two weeks since their mom was taken, and her hope that she would be found has not withered. In her words:

"I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is that it's never too late. And you're not lost or alone. And it is never too late to do the right thing. And we are here. And we believe. And we believe in the essential goodness of every human being."

She concluded her video with a sincere plea to the abductors that it is not too late to do the right thing to bring her mother back home. Federal authorities have also discovered footage from the doorbell camera, which caught a masked man holding a 25- liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.

The footage showed the strange-looking man trying to block the camera's view with flowers from Nancy's porch, before finally yanking it off the door frame.
