Tyreek Hill Bizarrely Breaks Silence On His NFL Future

Tyreek Hill's tenure with the Miami Dolphins is officially over!

The professional football wide receiver was let go by the team on Monday, February 16, marking the end of a four-year journey. He originally played for the Kansas City Chiefs before he was traded to the Dolphins.

Tyreek Hill raised eyebrows about his relationship with the Miami Dolphins last September following his reaction to a season-ending injury. He also had a playful reaction to the end of his journey with the team.

Hill broke his silence about his exit from the Miami Dolphins on Instagram by subtly changing his bio to read "Unemployed." Internet personality Jordan Schultz caught on to the change and shared a screenshot of the update on X.

Hill's bio update followed news of his exit from the Dolphins, which the NFL also confirmed on the social media platform. Naturally, fans had plenty to say on the topic, with many believing the team would eventually regret losing Hill.

"Why does it feel like releasing Tyreek Hill is a mistake?" someone wrote, with another claiming Hill was the only reason why fans watched the Dolphins play. "Why?? He's still good," a third wondered, with an X user contemplating if the Dolphins made a bold financial move or a front-office mistake.

Hill wasn't the only veteran player on the Dolphins' chopping block, as Bradley Chubb was similarly let go by the team. According to a report by Heavy, the Dolphins were in reset mode after hiring Jon-Eric Sullivan to be their new general manager and Jeff Hafley to be their new head coach.

On that note, the team was cleaning house by letting go of some of its more expensive veteran players like Hill. There were reportedly signs of the Dolphins' decision to terminate their relationship with Hill this offseason, especially after his season-ending knee injury in September 2025.

As stated, Hill initially played for the Kansas City Chiefs before he was traded to the Dolphins in 2022. Thanks to his inclusion in the team, he quickly helped Tua Tagovailoa become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and also earned a name for himself with his skills.

Hill raised eyebrows about his relationship with the Dolphins in September 2025 following his reaction to a season-ending knee injury. The Blast covered the story, reporting that he had gotten injured while playing against the New York Jets.

Surprisingly, Hill was all smiles while getting carried off the field by medical support. He blew kisses at the crowd and waved, looking nothing like a man who had suffered a season-ending injury. Naturally, his positive reaction raised eyebrows.

Fans noted that Hill was too happy for a man who had suffered a painful injury, while others speculated that he was excited to get paid while doing nothing. Some believed he didn't want to play for the Dolphins anymore, and a few theorized he was tired of working with Tagovailoa.

Hill's season-ending injury came days after an Amazon Prime reporter was accused of targeting him for malicious reasons. The Blast shared that the incident occurred while the reporter was covering the Dolphins' match against the Buffalo Bills.

When the camera focused on Hill, the female reporter noted that the NFL was investigating the domestic violence allegations lodged against him by his estranged wife. The reporter went on to recount how Kreeta Vaccaro accused Hill of being violent on eight separate occasions.

The comments about Hill's private life sparked mixed reactions, with fans arguing that Amazon Prime had a history of  humiliating Black athletes." Others claimed the reporter had no reason to air Hill's drama during a match, while critics believed the outrage was unnecessary.

Months after the drama, The Blast reported in January 2026 that Hill had filed documents hoping for changes in his visitation arrangement. He alleged that his ex, Vaccaro, was ruining the little time he had to spend with their daughter.

Hill claimed Vaccaro wanted a reconciliation and would try to catch up with him whenever he visited to spend time with their daughter. On that note, he begged the court to allow his grandmother to replace Vacation as supervisor during these visits.

On the other hand, Vaccaro's legal team accused Hill of spreading a false narrative. They argued that she was uninterested in reconciling with her ex, given the severity of the domestic violence allegations she lodged against him.
