Scott Peterson's prison bully is not being punished for his alleged attack on the inmate.
The fellow prisoner who went on a physical assault rampage against the wife-killer has reportedly escaped getting any criminal punishment for his actions.
Scott Peterson was convicted of the first-degree murder of his wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, Conner, in 2004. He is currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole at Mule Creek State Prison.

The 53-year-old alleged assaulter, identified as Charles Miles, reportedly got into a scuffle while playing pickleball in prison, ending with Peterson getting physically attacked.
Nearly a year later, the Amador County District Attorney, Scott Riebe, revealed that the Mule Creek State Prison will not be referring the case to the office for further prosecution. The District Attorney, however, held back on providing further information on why the case will not be referred.
Miles earlier explained that he became furious after Peterson crashed into him while they played pickleball. Miles noted that the inmate pursued the ball aggressively and made no effort to avoid a collision.
As noted by TMZ, Miles added that despite their unfriendly encounter, they hashed things out the following day.

Last March, the news of Peterson's assault in the California state prison was reported, which occurred in the yard near his housing unit about 40 miles southeast of Sacramento.
Aside from making Miles angry and leading to a brawl with him, sources claimed that other housemates also rushed to Miles' defense, beating up Peterson.
However, he did not suffer any serious injuries enough to get him hospitalized. Peterson's journey through conviction has sustained media attention for years now.
He was previously sentenced to death, but in 2020, that judgment was overturned and replaced with a life in prison verdict. Peterson's death sentence was annulled after the state Supreme Court determined that jurors who personally disagreed with the death penalty were dismissed.
Scott Peterson's Legal Team Was Hopeful New Evidence Would Vindicate Him

As noted by PEOPLE, things took a dramatic turn in Peterson's camp last year when his lawyers filed a petition in court to present new evidence and witness statements pointing towards their client's innocence.
According to them, the new evidence undermined the prosecution's entire circumstantial case against the petitioner. It also shows that the jury relied on false evidence and false scientific evidence to convict the inmate.
In the new evidence, the attorneys had claimed that a witness allegedly heard a conversation among home burglars arguing about Laci seeing them. Peterson's lawyers previously stated that Laci was killed after she saw two burglars breaking into their neighbor's house while Peterson was on a fishing trip.
More Claims Made By The Inmate Defense Team About His Innocence

The Los Angeles Innocence Project, of which Peterson's lawyer was a member, emphasized that if the jury had this evidence, they would have declared their client innocent.
Aside from an alleged statement from a witness who overheard the conversation, the LAIP lawyers added that they also discovered a van near Peterson's name that may have belonged to the burglars.
The lawyers believed that Laci was killed in the van, after which it was set ablaze to get rid of evidence. LAIP continued in their statement that the jury was not aware that a mattress was discovered in the back of the van with bloodstains on it.
The LAIP also argued against claims by the police that Peterson dumped his wife's body when he went fishing. LAIP insisted that, given the new evidence discovered, it was impossible for Laci's body to move from where Peterson allegedly dumped it to where they were eventually discovered.
"Rather, their bodies were most likely placed in the waters off the Albany Bulb, a peninsula that is accessible by car and foot," the body stressed.
Scott Peterson's Mother-in-Law Confronts Him During Court Outburst

Laci's mother, along with the rest of her family, was present in court after the California Supreme Court ruled that a lower court should take another look at the case to determine whether the guilty verdict should be overturned.
As shared by The Blast, Laci's mother got emotional as the court session went on and addressed the convicted killer. Sharon Rocha slammed the 53-year-old for betraying his late wife, son, and ending two beautiful souls.
She recalled having dinner with Laci and Peterson days before her death, and her daughter hinting that they may be having some issues when she tried to feel her grandson kicking.
"All the while we were there that evening, you were already planning her murder. That evening was the last time I saw my daughter alive," Rocha claimed in her outburst, noting that nothing would ever erase the fact that Peterson murdered his wife and unborn son.
