Angelina Jolie wants a new owner to have her sprawling Los Angeles property.

The actress is intensifying the process to find a new home outside the shores of the United States, and what better way to ensure that than to dispose of her primary place of residence.

Angelina Jolie's planned big move comes over a year after she and ex-husband Brad Pitt drew the curtains on the eight-year divorce battle, which began with their separation in 2016.

The Hollywood star is set to let her historic masterpiece and beautiful estate go as she plans to move abroad once her younger kids turn 18. An insider claimed that the actress had stayed this long in Los Angeles against her will because of her custody arrangement with Pitt.

Another close source confirmed that the home sale will proceed once Jolie finalizes some minor improvements to the property. The 50-year-old acquired the home for a whopping $24.5 million in 2017, spanning over 11,000 square feet and featuring six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Director Cecil B. DeMille initially acquired the home in 1916, where he lived for nearly 40 years until he died in 1959. As reported by PEOPLE, Charlie Chaplin also lived in the neighboring house, which DeMille bought and combined into the estate.

On where the compass would land for Jolie, The Blast stated that the actress would settle for a more private life in Europe and Cambodia. A source explained that Jolie is chasing greater privacy and a slower pace as she plans to shuffle between New York, Europe, and Cambodia.

The actress reportedly bought a home in Cambodia in 2003, shortly after she adopted her eldest son, Maddox. According to her long-time friend and fellow actor, Jae Benjamin, the celebrity is really interested in leaving that life behind.

"She'll go and decompress – only working on things that drive her heart, soul, and passion. She's a wonderful, talented, and giving woman," the insider explained.

As for her Los Angeles property, she has reportedly begun showing it to interested buyers alongside its enchanting features, including gardens, apool, a studio, and the main house.

Beyond her divorce drama and desire for a private life abroad, Jolie is reportedly also facing financial difficulties in maintaining her lifestyle in Los Angeles.

As noted by The Blast, an insider affirmed that although she is not broke, she is also not swimming in money as everyone thinks. The actress's lengthy divorce battle with Pitt seemingly drained some of her net worth, despite her appearances in major blockbusters over the years. 

Issues like the couple's back-and-forth over their Château Miraval winery, inwhich Jolie sold her stake to Tenute del Mondo, are one example of how the actress splurged on lawyers and court cases.

A source shared that while Cambodia is close to her heart due to Maddox, her "Tomb Raider" movie, and her status as a citizen, she is also considering settling in Italy and France.

The actress seems to love it in Europe, and she feels that maintaining a reasonable account balance without overspending is very possible.

The media personality has spent time in Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Pakistan, Kenya, Jordan, Syria, and she loves these cities in ways L.A. cannot compete. Jolie's close circle is equally pleased with her decision to relocate so far that she can live somewhere beautiful, safe, and that will make her fortune last.

The 50-year-old showcased scars from her double mastectomy during an interview in December 2025, and she explained that the revelation was done in the spirit of solidarity with women who also carried scars from the past.

Jolie decided to go in for the procedure after learning she carried the BRCA 1 gene, which made her highly prone to cancer. The actress confessed that she made the tough decision to eliminate any possibility of the illness and also stick around much longer for her loved ones.

The business mogul sees her scars as reminders of the choices she made for her health and of her experiences as a human being. Jolie reflected on losing her mother at a young age, which caused her to raise her kids without their grandmother.
