Erika Kirk is facing a wave of online backlash after reportedly removing her wedding photo with Charlie Kirk.

The photo, which had sat on a bookshelf in his office and was visible in past videos shared by Charlie, appeared to be missing in a recent video Erika posted from the same room.

The Missing Photo Was Previously Placed On The Bookshelf In Charlie's Office

Charlie Kirk's tragic death continues to be a topic of online conversation, but it appears his wife has already moved on.

Recently, social media users noticed changes in Charlie's office, which now seems to be fully used by Erika since her husband's passing.

In previously posted footage from the room, a wedding photo of Erika and the right-wing influencer could be seen sitting on the bookshelf. However, in a recent screenshot of Erika in the same room, the wedding photo is no longer visible.

Some fans who noticed the subtle change also pointed out that Erika's wedding ring was missing from her hand when she was making the video from which the snapshot was taken.

The changes, unsurprisingly, led many to criticize her for seemingly moving on just five months after her husband's death.

"Erika isn't just moving on, she's erasing him entirely, and honestly, wouldn't be surprised if we see a new wedding announcement soon," a user commented.

"She's the type of widow who moved on so fast!! Unbelievable," a second netizen wrote.

"I would never want my wife to 'grieve' for me the way that Erika has been 'grieving' for Charlie," a third criticized.

Amid the backlash, some individuals chose to support the mother of two.

"Maybe she just moved it to a more private spot? Grieving is a personal journey, and she doesn't owe anyone a perfect 'shelf aesthetic.' Supporting you, Erika," a fan remarked.

Another noted, "There's no 'tea' here, just a woman moving forward after an unthinkable loss. Stop trying to find drama where there is only grief and resilience."

One more wrote, "I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt that she took it home to keep closer to her and the kids."

While Erika has yet to address the missing photo, a source who works for her non-profit, Turning Point USA, claimed that it was simply moved to a different location in the office after an incident with her three-year-old daughter.

"Erika moved it to a lower shelf when her daughter asked to see it so she could hold and look at the photo," the Turning Point USA spokesperson said, per Newsweek.

They added, "It's still on the studio shelf, just lower down where her daughter can look at it whenever she's in there with her mom."

Erika welcomed her daughter with Charlie, less than one year after their May 2021 marriage. The duo also shares a son, who was born in the same month as their wedding anniversary in 2024.

Erika Kirk Was Recently Criticized Over Alleged Text Messages She Once Sent To A Minor

Beyond the missing photo saga, controversy seems to follow Erika these days, as she was recently called out over alleged text messages sent to a 15-year-old girl in 2014.

The messages included flirtatious terms, such as calling the girl "sweetheart" and other over-the-top compliments of her body features.

Some of the texts also contained what appeared to be inappropriate jokes, the meaning of which seemed to be understood only by Erika and the minor.

Since the messages went viral, some have speculated that the former beauty queen was grooming the minor, while others slammed her behavior as inappropriate.

Amid the backlash, political commentator Candace Owens weighed in, describing the messages allegedly sent by Erika as "absolutely vile."

She also doubled down on her claims about X in response to a netizen's post criticizing Erika's behavior toward the minor.

Owens wrote, "It is TEXTBOOK grooming behavior. Not to mention, it is illegal in Michigan to photograph a minor without parental consent or presence. Yes, it requires an explanation."
