Kandi Burruss' Estranged Husband Slams Her With Eviction Claims

Kandi Burruss' estranged husband, Todd Tucker, is claiming his move out of the main house was not amicable!

The media personality's ex clarified how his newest living arrangement in her guest house came about and how it even caught him unaware. 

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker parted ways after over a decade together shortly after BravoCon 2025, according to her announcement.

The songwriter's former partner explained that he resorted to living in her guest house after he was thrown out of the main house without any notice from the singer. 

Tucker added that he was squatting at her Atlanta home because Burruss had directed her family members to move his things away from the main house without his consent or court intervention. 

While Tucker admitted that he did not want to leave, he, however, chose not to fight Burruss about it for the sake of their kids and stability. As shared by TMZ, the singer's ex stated that he has also been the one caring for their children in Georgia while Burruss is away for work in New York.

Burruss and Tucker have also gone back and forth on the custody of their kids as the singer initially demanded joint custody but turned around to request for sole custody after Tucker requested for sole custody.

Burruss and Tucker's divorce process has descended into a contentious battle with back-and-forth allegations, including one of the songwriter claiming that her ex failed to pay child support for their minor kids. 

As shared by The Blast, the star explained in her filing that their kids' expenses gulped significant sums, which her ex has refused to pay for. She stated that she has had to step up and sort all the children's tuition, extracurricular activities, birthday parties, medical bills, travel, and daily needs. 

The reality star continued that while Tucker has traveled overseas several times to spend money, he has refused to pay the mortgage or cover the family's home costs. She added that he often gives the facade of spending time with the kids when, in real life, he does not enjoy parenting time with their minor children.

The former lovebirds pressed pause on their conflict for a minute when she announced last year that she would be spending Christmas with her estranged husband. As shared by The Blast, Burruss emphasized that their resolve to be together during that period as a family was borne out of care for their children.

Tucker also shared the same sentiment about maintaining a united front for the sake of their two minor kids. The holiday plans came on the heels of Burruss's decision to separate from Tucker, after much thought and prayer.

The songwriter added that she was stepping into a new chapter while pouring into her work, family, and her own growth. Burruss extended her gratitude to everyone who has supported her over the years and asked that the family be given privacy to address the issue.

Burruss responded to an interview question in January about her expectations for the aftermath of their divorce. The accomplished songwriter was candid in her response, admitting that a cordial friendship may brew between them as soon as they draw the curtain on dissolving that marriage.

She noted that for now, things are definitely heightened between them, and Tucker was getting on her nerves with the way he has gone about their split. However, it still remains her wish that they both make it through the divorce in one piece.

Prior to confirming her separation from Tucker, Burruss had given him a shoutout while receiving her “Wifetime Achievement Award” at BravoCon.

She thanked him for surviving “the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions,” assuring him that he also deserved the award.

Burruss understood that mopping around will not pay the bills, especially given her claims concerning Tucker’s lack of contribution towards household running. She is currently starring in the Broadway musical “& Juliet.”

She described her new gig as a perfect way for her to rediscover her love for music and performing, stating that the show will be a perfect escape for anyone seeking happiness.

The musical, produced by the legendary Max Martin, featured Burruss performing Pink’s smash hit “F-cking Perfect,” which she has since claimed as her life’s theme song.

Burruss noted that being at such a crossroads in her life really taught her that other people deal with doubts too, which is why the song is very reassuring that, despite her flaws, she still deserves to experience great things.
