With a "Baywatch" reboot officially in the works at Fox, fans have been wondering whether any of the original stars might return to the beach, and Carmen Electra hasn’t ruled it out.

The iconic lifeguard drama originally ran for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001, following David Hasselhoff’s Mitch Buchannon and his team as they balanced high-stakes rescues with plenty of personal drama. Electra famously joined the cast in the late ‘90s, becoming one of the show’s most recognizable faces.

When TMZ recently asked whether she’d be involved in the reboot, Electra teased that conversations are happening. “I’m talking to them right now, so we’ll see,” she said.

That said, she made it clear she has one condition before suiting up again. “I don’t know if I’d want to be in the water, necessarily, but I could do the slow-motion run. I can definitely do that. And I still look really good in that suit,” she added, before joking, “Maybe I could be a captain.”

Electra recently got candid about her love life while speaking exclusively with PEOPLE at Steven Tyler’s 7th Annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party in Hollywood. The 53-year-old actress, who confirmed she’s currently single, shared that dating is very much on her radar for 2026, but she’s not willing to settle. “I don't like liars,” Electra told the outlet, making it clear that honesty tops her list of non-negotiables.

She also reflected on what it feels like to be truly seen in a relationship. “It’s just really nice when you're with someone [who's] just really into you. I have had that before. It obviously didn't last. But once you know what it feels like to really be with someone [who] is so there for you, you can't undo that feeling. You know, it's just beautiful.”

When it comes to romance, Electra admitted she wasn’t always the sentimental type, until one of her most famous exes changed that.

“[I want] somebody that's very romantic,” she continued. “I remember when I was dating Dave [Navarro], I was so not romantic, and he was teaching me how to be romantic, but now I am.”
